Feudal Shredder

Bought him today and he's awesome! I just wish he didn't have that "defeated" action feature that Traximus has. It doesn't really bother me on this figure but he would be better without it. His helmets hard plastic instead of rubber like Armorized Shredder's helmet is. He's the Feudal Japan version of Armorized Shredder minus shin guards, maybe he didn't have shin guards or PlayMats just forgot? Anyone know? In short I would buy him for sure, he look's bad@$$.

He looks bad-ass but I don't have him yet! They didn't arrive here yet!
Yeah, he has that stupid defeated button thingy. All I have to do is glue it, just as I did to Traximus and until I get Gen.

He's actualy quite Toon accurate, in skulpt at least. The coloring is a bit off...but it's still pretty well done. The action is a bit annoying, i can never crank it tight enough it seems....but he's still a pretty good figure for the most part

Is this particular Shredder in the "Secret Origins" episodes? I assume so since that's when the turtles saw Ancient Shredder. I thought he had a different color suite, not all black.

Jester 07-02-2005 07:57 PM

Yes....he's the Secret Origins Shredder....and aside from the coloring and the big Foot ensignia button, he's fairly accurate....

Triceraton 07-02-2005 09:38 PM

The inaccurate colors & the 'crumple in defeat' action feature made me pass on him when I finally saw him last week. If I see him again, I might buy him. I just wish the colors were accurate, I could live with the action feature then.

I like the instant-defeat feature on this figure, because we know he's really an utrom exosuit so it's kinda funny in that sense. Though I wish they had just made the helmet itself the figure's head instead of Oroku Saki because I doubt they had gotten around to giving those suits humanoid features.

-->> ..it's confusin' too .. Shredder's helmet off he has Saki's head.. In the 'Secret Origin' eps.. didn't he jsut keep his hat on the whole time ?? Didn't the Utrom's develope the Exo Suit skins much later than 'Fudal Japan' .. or maybe Shredder's just that cool he got a Saki head all those centuries before the snooty Utroms got their skin ??

I knocked mine off the shelf and the action thingy got triggered and now he won't tighten up enough to stand up straight  Now I'll hafta go out and buy another one. No way will I ever let anything like this happen to my Traximus or Gen.

FALLEN ELDOR 07-11-2005 05:15 PM

can somebody post some pics with him and the other shredders please?

BigApple3AM 07-11-2005 07:43 PM

I bought him just becuase it was the first new tmnt figure I've seen on the shelves in like ages, but I doubt I'll open him. If (when) I find Gen I'll probably by two, one to open one to keep moc. The other secondary characters I'll probably buy one and leave moc and put in storage. I still need to go back and pick up all the tmnt variants I missed, that and the vehicles.

I was honestly pretty disappointed. The mold looks great, but he's just way too "limp" once you take him out of the box. And that damn button on his chest is just way too sensetive. I "killed" him at least twenty times just trying to fit his staff in his hands.
