FF4-6 coming to gba..

For you who own a gameboy advance or a Nintendo Ds which of course has gba backward compatible, I got some news for you..

Final Fantasy 4-6 are coming to the gba and there are some changes.. Mainly the ones I heard so far is that the ff4 one on gba will features a couple new bosses a few new towns..

There is not much info on these 3 ports but they will probably get the same treatment which ff1+2 dawn of souls gotten.. FF1 and 2 may be easy on the gba but it's final fantasy so it's will do well.

You ask what happening with ff3, well square-enix is still working on it for the Nintendo DS.. I am so glad I got a nitnendods, I can play both gba games and nintendo ds games..

My question is will we get Final Fantasy 4, Final Fantasy 4 Easy Type, or Final Fantasy 4 super easy type (I made this one up of course but I'm saying will it be even easier than the US/2nd Japan release of the game.) The truest to the original was the Origins remake of FF1 but even it if you put on the settings it said were used in the original Final Fantasy the game was still a lot easier.

HELL YES! I HAVE USE FOR NINTENDO NOW!

5 > all

Square hasn't given us an 'easy' FF game for a *very* long time now.

1&2 on the GBA wern't toned down, as far as I know.

I'm looking forward to FF3 on the DS more though. Hopefuly Square's smart and uses the touch screen for the menu crap.

awesome, my copy of 6 was stolen. And 5 is a no brainer, it was considered the best of the series by Japanese gamers. 4 I look forward to having again too.

Cerpin Taxt 10-20-2005 02:00 AM

If you're a fan of X-2, you'll love 5. It has the best job class/customization system in any FF game.

GK Punk 10-20-2005 02:02 AM

I've actually played 5, it is a really good game. I haven't finished it, so that's a huge bonus to getting the GBA Version. (An FF Game I haven't finished, that is)
I liked what I saw of the Character Classes, it seems really well done.

It's great, but nothing can beat VI in my mind. I just hope GBA dosen't rape the music quality like it usually does. That score needs to be done perfectly.

Monkey Ambassador 10-20-2005 06:15 AM

This might make the DS worth my money. I've been waiting for III for a long time. I've played and beaten IV-X.

What're the release dates for FF3 and 4-6? Are 4-6 being released on one cart or seperately?

You're joking right? Do you realize a White Mage and Black Mage can get over 900 hp in it? In Origins/NES they had a little over 500. Not to mention the fact that allowing up to level 99 does make your party stronger than you were at level 50 in Origins or the Original. Dawn of Souls was just Origins with some boss's hp raised. Not that raising the hp makes them much harder though. The MP system also makes FF1 boringly easy, in the original FF1 your magic was divided into levels and you had a certain number of uses of each level of magic. With the MP system, you can use Cure4 and Nuke as much as you want (No I will not call them by the new names.) There are also items that weren't even in the original but existed in newer Final Fantasy games such as the Phoenix down. Did you know that in FF1 NES and Origins until you learned Life or Life2 you had to go to a shop to revive a character if they were knocked out? Dawn of Souls also uses every element of easy mode from Final Fantasy Origins. Now how is the difficulty not toned down? These are just a few changes that made the game easier. Challenge does not exist in FF1 in Dawn of Souls. FF2 I can't really speak for because right now I just started playing the NES version and haven't touched any other version. Final Fantasy 8 was extremely easy adding to your comment about how they haven't given us an easy game in a long time. I devastated every boss in a second. The only boss that gave me a little trouble was Ultima Weapon because he's so damn fast. Even Omega Weapon I took down with extreme ease though.

Boldness added to prevent you from having another cardiac arrest. And seeing as I don't care much for the Final Fantasy series, sans 9 and Mystic Quest (shuddap), I had no idea. Chill.

Mystic Quest? Get out of this thread! Right now! :x

Those are some great 3D graphics!

Those pics for III do look great. Thanks for the link Barkworm.

Mecha Cow 10-21-2005 01:09 PM

Whoa, those are DS graphics? I saw the screens before but I thought they were from Crystal Chronicles for the GC. Pretty damn impressive.

And I hate to say it, but hats off to Square for making it look original instead of OGM DRAK N REALSTIK.

Wow nice graphics! especailly for a ds game.. Square-enix is supporting the ds with flying colors.

Now to the other person about the ff6 music quality.

I also do hope they don't ruin it.. Also one last thing, ff4 will be released and then 5 and 6 after. ff1 adn 2 were released in one due to the fact it may be not very big games but 5 and 6 were and 6 was massive in it's day.. it took me over along time to finish that big masterpiece..

Kid Icarus 10-23-2005 01:16 PM

Yeah, the FF3DS screens look great. I can't wait to see what Square's going to be doing wth the DS a few years down the line, after they get all the graphic techinques and stuff down.
