How about a TMNT SE DVD petition ?
I'm sure if enough people sign it , they might consider it :)
Worth a try at least ? |
As long as I've been coming to message boards (F13th and here) I have seen countless people try and try to petition for movies. They never work. It's all about money. Sales have to be right, or something of interest has to be around for them to do it. That something of interest will be the new movie in less than 2 years. Don't worry, when the new movie comes out, I'm sure they'll release a special edition to try and make money since WB picked up the rights to the movie and not New Line.

Indeed....In fact I did at one point...:p Sorry guy, it's not gonna happen anytime soon.
Not necessarily. In one of the letters pages in either the Tales or the regular series (I forget which one) Peter Laird said he was kind of hanging out with Steve Barron, and he said Steve showed him some deleted scenes from the original movie. Pete said he wanted to do a special edition, and the only thing that would prevent it, would be if the film had deteriorated too badly to convert to dvd. But he definitly said he wanted to do it, because there was a lot cut out. So I would say it is definitly worth a try, and I would definitly sign that puppy!

That's why I started mine....on that news...but like Stoppah said, the new movie might be the spark needed to make TMNT:SE
If You Are A Heavy Dvd Collector (like My Self), You Know That Usually In Cases Like This, SE's Are Released In Order To Promote The Movie Etc. Especially When The Previous Dvd Is Out Dated. For Example With "saw" SE, Released To Promote "saw II". "The Bourne Identity" SE, Released To Promote "The Bourne Supremacy", "Resident Evil" SE To Promote "Resident Evil Apocalypse". Another Reason To Release SE's Is Anniversary's. I Think We Are Most Likely Going To Get A SE, I'd Say About 75% Chance We Will.
Lesee....what aniversary could we look to for an SE? (That's considering the new CG movie isn't the TMNT:SE spring board.)
I Think They'll Use The Movie As The Spring Board.
And it's been 15 since TMNT: The Movie was released...March 30, 1990.
I'd say the movie will do it. If not, they would probably wait till 2010 for the 20th anniversary.
