New Ep Discussion: 4-14: Ancient One
Well, since no one else has bothered to make the thread... looks like die Fledermaus will have to step in and save the day...8)
"EPISODE NINETY TWO "The Ancient One" Story Editor: Lloyd Goldfine Senior Supervising Director: Chuck Patton Written by Steve Murphy Synopsis: It is time for Leonardo to move on. Splinter sends Leo to a new sensei⦠or rather, a very old sensei. The journey is long and perilous. Can Leonardo look into himself and find the right answers to his questions? Can he even find the right questions? NOTE: The new season synopses are based on early drafts of the scripts. Due to this and differences in the broadcasting order, this title and synopsis may be inaccurate." Could this be the episode we've all been waiting for? Will Leo finally learn how to let go of his fear of losing or looking humiliated? What, if anything, will he learn from the farting sage? Stay tuned!:D |
Very nice formatting Fleder. Looks very professional. :) We will see what this episode has in store.

Can't wait for the episode! In, like *checks clock* eight hours. All I'ma say for now is it's interesting that they're saying Splinter sends Leo to see this sensei....not Leo chooses to go himself. What confrontation will there be between them over Leo's attitude? A low-key one, or will Leo screw up and tick Splinter off? I suppose I'll have to go to bed so I can see in the morning! :P

I'm thinking Splinter sending Leo away will be due to several factors: one, he's tried (offscreen) to shake Leo out of it but knows that perhaps it is time for Leo to be "kicked out of the nest" (after all, he's basically old enough to attend college). Two: in addition, I have a feeling there will be some kinda explosion where Splinter maybe finally puts his foot down after Leo does something really nuts--like gets in a fight with Raph... Ooh. Maybe rooted in the resentment they feel towards one another, which would be cool cuz then we'd get to see more of Raph.
Well, maybe. But yeah, both that Splinter's been planning this, and Leo doing something really bad will hurry up the process. But it's time. The Ancient One will be something like a college professor--quirky, no? Japan, like college, is far away, and Leo is going primarily to learn. |
OK the bginning was pretty intense, but it's hard to take the episode seriously with all the fart jokes. Sure is a wierd one so far.

Nevermind. LOL

:o That was the most delightful, funny episode ever! I was shocked to see how Leo treated Splinter- he deserved a slap.
But that fat dude who kept farting disgusted me! Word of advice: DON"T eat breakfast while watching this episode! My dad and i where cracking up by the farting made me stop eating. Eww Poor Leo:lol: So All Leo had was health food? Typical Leo I wonder if he mastered the skill of breathing through his mouth to avoid the smell. I kept waiting for the fat guy to fart in the fire and make Leo go "What the hell?" Leo's angry is done and now we get our old Leo back! *kiss* He finallly admitted he did all he could do to save his brothers and Splinter Great episode-disgusting..but cool episode |
Man....I couldda done without all the "air" Gross!! :dead:
But it just goes to show you, you can learn something from EVERYONE....no matter how insignificant you think they are. The other big lesson....you can't learn without failing. Poor Leo's ben so wraped up in trying to be perfect that he forgot you have to fall down alot before you can stand...let alone run. I thought it was very interesting to see Leonardo's memories. It wasn't how it happened, but in the classic "man against himself" scenerio, distoretd memories fuel the fires. I guessI can put up with Fart jokes to get leo to an end. |
the farting got annoying after a while but it was still funny. I was like damn when leo sliced Splinter. What is the next episode about? There was no mention for next weeks episode.
|
Next week is a rerun of Cousin Sid.
|
Shocking... it took a katana slice to Splinter's dome to get Leo to relax. The guy almost chopped off our sensei's head.
Besides that almost-tragic incident, this episode was very clever. Don't hold your breath for Leonardo to RIGHT AWAY return to his usual self. As one can learn a new lesson, he can easily forget it. It's gonna take time. Don't worry. My brother will be okay.:) Now, I look forward to the reruns to hopefully to catch some episodes I missed.:P |

Exactly. He learned a lesson, but he still has scars....so true to life. He will never be the "same old leo", but he will learn to deal with thing better in time. |
I often wondered.
Would you really want to go back to being your past self? I wouldn't, because all of my life battles, journies, and scars (physically, mentally, and socially) made me a better person. |

Too many fart jokes but still a good episode. God it is times like these where blood could add to the episode. After Leo slashed Splinter that is. Man It took him nearly killing his own master to realize just how messed up he has became. I'm glad the healing can finally begin.

There are things I definitely could do without in my past.....but I am one of those people who (eventually) come back to the conclusion that everything has a reason for happening. I cannot think of one experience in my life that i cannot look logically at and say "yes, that really was for the best" Now, as we see with Leo this eason, that does take a goodly amount of time....but all the life experiences we have are what make up the fabric of who we are....you could no sooner cut out a chunk of a sweater and still call it useful. |
yeah i watched it today so good im glad that the old leo is back poor leo and sliceing splinter wasnt ok it the ep is good i wonder what ep we`ll get next week i hope its a good one hmmmmm......

dammit.. dammit.... missed this one again.... dammit... ohwell I'll be coming home from college this weekend, so I can catch up on the episodes I missed somehow.... :(
The episode looked so interesting... but when I woke up this morning, i was like... blargh... need sleep. Question... from you guys, it seems like Leo's finally staring to heal...so is he staying in Japan for a few more episodes, or is he coming back to NY? And who was the master? I mean... I'm assuming he had to be nonhuman cuz Splinter knew him and I'm assuming Leo could walk around without disguise with him and all... |
