It is definitley worth getting one. The battery life depends on what type of stuff you put on it. The higher quality files, the more juice the iPod uses on it, thus making the battery life run out faster.

I think the Ipod is great, but I've been using my Play-Yan more lately because I can stick it in the GBA slot on my DS, and still have Mario Kart with me. That, and my Ipod is usually being borrowed by someone and unless you like itunes, it's a bitch to sort your music, and I don't like itunes. Still, its a great music player, but I don't have any use for portable video.

*nods* Yep, I say go for it. I have a 2GB Nano and I've currently got 206 songs on there. I also find that you can save heaps of battery life if you don't have the backlight on. If you want a video one, get one. It's handy for, let's say, on the bus. Just whip it out and start jammin'.

Until you jam right past your stop

Seriously, get the ipod. They rule.

I adore my iPod Mini. Get one. It's awesome. :D

I'll stick with my Rio Riot. 20GB of memory and a superb sound quality. Sure, the batteries run down quite fast, but it shouldn't be a big deal recharging them every other day. And yes, the Rio Riot might be the size of a brick, but I have big pockets, so that doesn't matter either. And it only costs like half the price of an iPod.

Get one. Or, better yet, find a friend that goes to college, or a teacher friend. We get hella good discounts on stuff. So good, I'm going to be getting one eventually.

I haven't had the best of luck with iPOD. Right now, I'm on my third one that they sent me from the repair factory, and the battery keeps ****ing up.

Does it have something to do with the fact that ITUNES locks up because I have so much music loaded into it? According to tech support, no.

The new one has good battery life though. Unless you want to watch a video.

ive got another one

i have ALOt of mp3s in folders, when you load these folders into iTunes does it make likethe same folders or groups appear onto the ipod? or does it categorize them by ID3 tags?

iris 01-20-2006 09:53 AM

I love the Nano, but they do sell decent-sized mp3 players for less than a quarter the price. It's worth looking into, IMO. I'm a frugal lil' witch, wot. :) I think I'll stick with my $10 pocket radio.
