What Are Your Fighting-Game Top-Tens?

Sorry, I haven't been around much, but things have been weird at home.

Anyway, I'd like to know everyone's top-ten favourite Fighting Games, and Top-Ten favourite characters, and any-other Top-Ten Fighting-Game list anyone can think of.

Here's my list for games, in order from favourite to 10th favourite...

1.) Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact
2.) Three: A New Generation of Street Fighter
3.) Street Fighter II: Champion Edition
4.) Capcom Vs. SNK 2
5.) Super Street Fighter II Turbo
6.) Soul Calibur
7.) Virtua Fighter 2
8.) Mortal Kombat II
9.) Fatal Fury 2
10.) Power Stone

In case you're wondering, I consider "Brawlers" a seperate genre, and that's why Double Dragon isn't on the list (Though it's my #1 fav. Brawler)

Now, Characters. Again from favourite to 10th favourite...

1.) Ryu (Street Fighter)
2.) Terry Bogard (SNK)
3.) Mitsurugi (Soul Calibur)
4.) Sub-Zero (Mortal Kombat)
5.) Yun (Street Fighter)
6.) Gouki A.K.A. "Akuma" (Street Fighter)
7.) Ken (Street Fighter)
8.) Scorpion (Mortal Kombat)
9.) Kagemaru (Virtua Fighter)
10.) Blanka (Street Fighter)

So, what're your lists?

Oh god, now I gotta make another list -=Scurries off=- >_<;;

#1 Super Smash Bros Melee
#2 Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen! 3
#3 Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen! 4
#4 Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (SNES version)
#5 Soul Caliber
#6 Marvel vs Capcom
#7 Super Smash Bros N64
#8 Soul Caliber 2 (PS2)
#9 Super Street Fighter 2
#10 Mortal Kombat 2 (SNES)

God help us...

........hmmm.........

10. SVC Chaos (I would say VF4, but it's too technical for me, and lacks any flash)
09. Dead or Alive 4 (Only played it a little here and there, but I can tell it rules)
08. Capcom Versus SNK 2 (Amazing)
07. Street Fighter Alpha/Zero 3 (best old school fighter period)
06. Super Smash Bros Melee (duuuuuh)
05. Soul Calibur II (Seems more balanced than III)
04. Soul Calibur III (although I HATE how they've RUINED Talim :( ...the rest rules. Here's to a 360 version)
03. Street Fighter II: Championship Edition/World Warrior (I always liked it better than the "Super" versions)
02. Street Fighter III: Third Strike (2D Perfection, nuff said)
01. Marvel Versus Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes (I'm a Combo man, so no other fighter on earth is as fun as this)

Those first three aren't going to move, but the others shift depending on my mood.

Characters...

10. Venom (See below. throw in Rouge or Ryu and you've got the Ultimate team)
09. Spiderman (Web Ball, Maximum Spider, Web Throw....you get the point)
08. Peach (SSBM: Weak, but fast and can run from any attack easily)
07. Tira (crazy devilish amazon women with lethal hula-hoops rule)
06. Talim (In SCII, she was so damn cheap. I loved her, but SCIII made her a mess)
05. Akuma (Downward Fireball motherfu*ker)
04. Mai (boing boing bo.....forget you read that)
03. Xianghua (She's my SC tournament girl. The SC/SCII/SCIII powerhouse as they say)
02. Ryu ((again, no explanation necessary)
01. Chun Li (no explanation necessary)

*alters list*

Lol! It's so true. She certainly doesn't believe in sports bras. :P

And, DOA claims they invented that.

Yeah, Mai is #2 on my list of sexiest characters. (Sofia from Toshinden is #1 on that list)

Let's try this...

1. Street Fighter 2/CE/Turbo (All 3 versions)
2. Mortal Kombat 2
3. DOA series (Haven't played the newest one though)
4. Fighting Vipers 1 and 2
5. The "VS" Series
6. SVC Chaos. I can't believe more people don't like it
7. World Heroes 1, 2, and Jet
8. Fatal Fury 2 (For Nostalgia reasons)
9. The KoF series (I was a huge fan of all the previous SNK Fighters. When they released this I was in heaven)

2. Ken from SF
3. Cammy from SF
4. Honey from Fighting Vipers

7. Ukyo from Showdown
8. ...Rob Van Dam from the Smackdown series. You heard me.
9. Candy Cane from Rumble Roses
10. Ayane from DOA

No, no they don't actually. The creators actually have said that the reason the girls are so jiggly, and there are so many panty shots were because it hasn't been done at all in 3D games to that point, and they wanted to be the first to exploit it. (I'm a huge DOA Fanatic)

And this is an excellent thread by the way. Love it when you come back around.

*bows* I knew reading that interview would come in handy ONE day!

It's too difficult to decide which 10 games are my favorite, so I'll go with my favorite series instead (listing my favorite games from each series in parentheses). Here they are, in no particular order:

• Mortal Kombat (II, UMK3, and Trilogy)
• Street Fighter (SSFII, SSFII Turbo, SFA2, and SFA3)
• Eternal Champions (1 and CftDS)
• Tekken (1, 2, Tag, and 5)
• Soul Calibur (1)
• King of Fighters (96, 97, and 98 )
• Art of Fighting (3)
• Toshinden (2 and 3)
• Capcom's Vs. Series (XMvSF, MSHvSF, MvC, MvC2, CvS, and CvS2)
• Last Blade (1 and 2)

Wow, I completley forgot Eternal Champions. I loved that game.

Yep, that was a very fun game. I particularly liked all the training options and the Battle Room. I wish my Sega CD was in better working order so I could play more of the sequel, though...

I never got to play "Eternal Champions", what's it like?

BTW the Fighting Games I'd give the "So Cheesy It's Fun" award to are...
-Shaq Fu
-Time Killers
-War Gods
-URBAN champion

Ahh, I forgot MK: Trilogy. I enjoyed the hell out of that game. So much stuff to do.

1. Guilty Gear X2
2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (Genesis or PC version)
3. Soul Calibur 2
4. Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower
5. Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution
6. Guilty Gear X: Advanced Edition
7. Marvel VS Capcom
8. Tekken 4
9. Virtua Fighter 4
10. Yie Ar Kung Fu

Uh I don't have a top 10 but my faovirte fight games are smash bros melee, street fighter2, 3 and killer instinct.

I dont really like mortal kombat that much anymore. i used to love it..
