Tmnt 3 and 2 lair.
ok, in tmnt 2 and 3 their lair is the lair of the tmnt the next mutation.
Do you think that the next mutation is surpose to carry on from there? But the next mutation was made before tmnt 2 and 3? what do you think? |
maybe...
in the next mutation, Michaelangelo uses the twin nightsticks he acquired in the 3rd Turtle film, and like in all 3 turtle films, one of Splinter's ears is cut in the next mutation. I have heard that The Next Mutation's 5 part pilot episode "East Meets West" was originally thought to be the 4th Turtle film, but was scrapped and was recycled as the 5 part pilot episode of the live action Turtlre TV series "The Next Mutation" . |

Yikes! I'd hate to think the people who brought us TMNT: The Next Mutation where to going to give us TMNT 4! Nightmare Scenario! This was in the works, and a few years ago i remember seeing a proposed TMNT 4 logo for their film. Can't remember where i found it though on the net.

Yep, TMNT mania had way died down before NT:TNM was introdused. In fact Next Mutation was an attempt to revitalize the franchise and get some new fans.
|
Yep....also Volume 3 comics was somewhat the final push for some fans. Volume 3 comics ended sometime after I went off to college in 1997. From 1997 until recently, TMNT kind of died down in a public setting but not in the true fans' hearts and souls.

well wat tmnt thing do you think is the best:

The TMNT movies played a great part in my childhood -- the first one in particular is a great movie, a near-perfect combination of humour and action, of the old 'toon and the original comics. II and III were pretty darn cool, too.
Next Mutation? Ehh, not so much. :ohwell: |
Here's the scoop.
The fourth movie, in preproduction was called the next mutation. After the hype, and thus, the demand died down, the movie was scrapped. In the movie, the turtles, and splinter, were each going to get super-poweresque features, which would explain the name, Next Mutation. Apparently they were going to work with the story that the ooze hadn't finished changing them yet. Long after the movie was scrapped, the good people at fox had the idea for a power rangeresque version of the TMNT, and thus the Next mutation was revived/born. In the movie, the turtles were supposed to have the following abilities: Raph/Splinter: Change into giant crazy super versions of themselves Don: Telekinetic Ability, though sadly, at the cost of his eyesight Leo: Skin changed into an impenetrable substance (ala Colossus) Mike: Ability to shape shift, making it possible for him to interact with people on the surface world. Here's some pictures from the concept art Peter Laird had prepard: Raph: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...aelnewlook.jpg Don: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ostumeinks.jpg Leo: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...newcostume.jpg Mike: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...newcostume.jpg Splinter: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ternewlook.jpg Not a horrible idea at first glance. It would have breathed some...interesting life into the TMNT property. I'm happier overall that it didn't work out though. Not that I wouldn't have given it a chance of course. |
very interesting, zachatello! do you know if there was ever a script developed for the project?
|
hmm, not that I am aware of. There's no info regarding a script at all.
