Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX for PSP

Anyone else here playing this game on the PSP? I purchased it a week or so ago and it has quickly become one of my favourite games for the PSP -- right up there with Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and Midway Arcade Treasures: Extended Play.

The graphics are nice and crisp, the music is awesome and all my favourite characters from Street Fighter II return, along with some new ones...Charlie in particular kicks serious ass! :)

Will the controls let you throw a fireball easily on the analog nub, or is it as broken as Darkstalkers?

Well, I don't know, I've never played Darkstalkers. However, I use the analog nub and I'm having no problems whatsoever -- though you could always use the digital pad if you were so inclined.

can you play online with this game?

Umm...Well, you can connect wirelessly with other PSPs via Ad-Hoc mode, if that's what you mean. Nothin' like handing a beating to one of your friends from across the room...Or -- ahem! -- classroom.

The D-Pad is too stiff for rolling motions associated with Shroukens and Hadokens, which is the whole point of 2D fighters. it would work okay with Soul Calibur, but Darkstalkers was a desaster. If it had worked with the nub, all would be well, but it dosen't and I can't function like that.

However....since this uses the nub, I'll take a chance and nail it with Outrun 2006 when it hits.

It didn't come out with the D-Pad add-on? Pass, I'll wait for the Anthology for the PS2
