Hell has frozen over.

Hah, long time no update hm?

Anyway.

You guys'd be proud of me. I bought a PS2. And I, yanno, didn't destroy it.

I'm enjoying Kingdom Hearts, mostly. Square needs to learn how to make a camera system that actually works, and they need to stop with menus in an action RPG. Haven't played the second, but from screens it appears the menu's still in tact. Boo.

Katamari is my friend, even if the controls are akward. Fun though, and very unique.

I'll be buying Guitar Hero with my next check, and I'm sure I'll get KH2, and some DMC (gamestop has DMC1 for $10).

Still, I don't care for Sony. It never was about the games. The majority of games I want on PS2 are from third parties that cut their teeth with Nintendo. This doesn't sound like me, but the graphics really bug me. Anti-alising for the win, Sony. If PS3 can't pull it off, I'm going to die laughing.

And I hate having to dig through piles of crappy games to find something decent to buy. Lets hope developers can get their acts together (although I know that wont' be happening).

My Gamecube hasn't been hooked in for over a month now. The only time I play it is for DDRMM and Donkey Konga. My DS gets amazing ammounts of use though, and I was tempted not to get the PS2 in order to catch up on games there. Tetris, Metroid, SPP, Tao, Metroid Pinball, Phoenix Wright, Trauma Center, Sonic... there's just too many.

I doubt I'll be around here much though. Just wanted to let you guys know I'm still alive. And I'll be moving home this Friday, so I expect to have my village raided in ACWW this weekend. >_>.

Barkworm 04-05-2006 04:22 PM

Good to hear from you, man! :D

Peanut 04-05-2006 10:10 PM

Good job, dude. The camera is totally fixed in KH2, so no worries. No more annoying shoulder buttons.

BTW, try and grab Shadow of the Collosus for your new PS2. You won't regret it.

Spitfire 04-05-2006 10:37 PM

If it wasn't for DMC I wouldn't have a PS2.

'Bout Goddamn time dude.

*grabs axe and waits outside your gate with a psyco grin*

I'll probobly get a PS2 soon before the stock starts to run low.

Absolutely. The horse controls are a little awkward to get used to and the framerate gets VERY choppy at some points but apart from that? F*cking amazing.

I never noticed the frame rate. I watched my friend beat that thing a million times too haha. He was obsessed. I swear I almost know thw whole story and I've never even played anything past the first guy, which I did in a demo.

The game I've seen witht he worst frame rate so far is Samurai Warriors. Which at some points just plain slows down to slow-motion mode. But it works out cause it looks cool to do combos in slow mo.

Really? I've never noticed any slow down in the game at all...That's weird. Maybe I was just too immersed to notice it.

Mecha Cow 04-06-2006 12:34 PM

I wish the damn PS2 would drop in price already...There are a couple of games I want, but no way am I paying €150 for a 5-year old console...

Anyway, good to have you back, Trunks.

That must be it.
Seriously, especially in the beginning it's really bad.

CookSux 04-06-2006 10:32 PM

Trunks! Been a while... either way, good to see you back. I too have been coming back frequently for the past month or so.

Kid Icarus 04-10-2006 04:10 PM

See, that's why I hate this place so damn much... people push my buttons too much, I leave, decide I need to check up on the friends on here... then get sucked right back into it all.

*shakes fist*

KH's going well. DDR is being whooped.

The Deep Jungle battle was way too hard, just because half the time I coulden't see a damned thing, not to mention the part in the cave after that.

Oh snap, dude. That has to be some of the most confusing platforming in the history of games. The camera is just so bad at that part. You just jump and hope to god he grabs on to something.

What about the Zone of The Enders series?

Kid Icarus 04-10-2006 10:32 PM

So, I'm a bit limited outta my next check (getting another stick of PC400 512 for my new computer, and the last month of rent, and food, and gas, ect.), but I'm getting Guitar Hero. If DMC1 and Beyond Good and Evil are still there for $10 each, I'll be nabbing those. Any suggestions for DDR? I want Max2, or maybe Extreme 1, but not too sure which one to get next.

And I want Dragon Quest 8. I don't know why, but I do. I... I've become addicted to RPG's. And I've still got Baten Kaitos to play now ($5. r0xx0rz), and FFX (gag).

Damn. And there's all those DS games. Brain Age will be mine, damnit.

Peanut 04-11-2006 01:07 PM

Dude, Guitar Hero is the best rhythm game you'll EVER buy. EVER!

ThirdMarioBro 04-11-2006 01:17 PM

I'm just going to try to collect all the DDR's. Not sure which is better yet.

Peanut 04-11-2006 01:49 PM

DDR MAX is the best, but DDRMAX 2 is also really good. The song selection in DDR MAX is better, imo.
