Shredder and that Brown Cloak...

In season 88 Shredder was shown wearing a brown cloak in a few of the episodes. It looks very Obi-Wan Kenobi-sih look. I thought it was quite a cool look, but he never wore it again in any other seasons. Any explaination for this? But it gave Shredder a variable look, instead of seeing the same old uniform that sticks out like a sore thumb in public, in all other seasons.

Well after the second season he had the Technodrome and all the rescources to retreat to so he didn't need to hang out in public places for too long and thus wouldn't need a disguise.
