Tales of the TMNT 24

Preview is up for Tales 24...which means it'll be out on wednesday!

This is a Mikey/Raph story. :D

"Tunnel workers uncover a metallic egg beneath the streets of New York City. When the container opens, its inhabitants bring a world of hurt to the Big Apple."

Ok...uh...wait a second...robots that hatch from eggs??? :o

Ugh@those Turtle designs. UGH!

Looks to be an action-packed issue. I'll get it when it comes out.

Yeah honestly, that's the worst artistic interpretation I've seen for the turtles.

What I'm trying to say is.... they look like Arnold.

Eh... kind of a boring issue. I'm looking forward to number 25 though.

My review:

Quote:

Tales of the TMNT (2nd series) #24: “Rock of Ages”. Typically, the best issue of Tales of the TMNT are the issues that Jim Lawson DOESN’T draw. Thankfully, this is one of those issues. The story in this episode is that a bunch of tunnel-workers in New York City happen across a giant metal rock. The rock morphs and splits into two robots. The tunnel workers and the National Guard quickly attack the robots, but can’t seem to defeat them. Mike and Raph have to figure out a way to get the robots to calm down, especially since they can’t fight them. Not much Ninja Turtle action in this issue, but that’s sorta the point; a non-violent resolution. The story-itself seems more like a set-up for future installments or story aspects (Tales is known for this) rather than a single engaging episode. Overall, it was fun, but not an entirely remarkable issue.

Mikey: "What are they gonna do now? Breed??"
Raph: "I would!"

Ok.. so what we have here are Adam and Eve. What we have are Atlantians/Ancients.

It was an interesting issue and one that made you think of where exactly the human race is headed.

But man...talk about history repeating itself... was Pangea really Atlantis?

But if there was an advanced civilization when the continents were Pangea....this mean that they were the ones who killed off the dinosaurs?

Murphy revealed in Tales #25 that #24 was actually an old un-used Archie storyline.

So it appears that the Archie series is really alive and well within the new Tales series. So fear not Archie fans.
