The Peter David thing was a joke...because the creater of Seinfeld is Larry David duh..and no I've never seen that dog ever...what is he from like some rare 1970's one shot batman christmas special or something lol.

Nah, he was a rather prominant addition to the Bat-Family back in the Silver Age.

He's been reinterpreted in modern Batman comics over and over, and more priminantly, he appeared in Batman Beyond.

Ace isn't particularly obscure if you're a Batman-reader. If not, then yeah, you're most likely not gonna recognize him.

Yeaaaa...lol Don't really like The Bat beyond his Villains line up.
But may I ask what's the point of having a mutt fallow them around...was this because every other cartoon back then had dog side kicks? It just seems oooh I don't know...a bit silly to me.

but that was the old days to have a dog thrown in there...today standards yeah silly...but this was for the kids back then; today all the myriads of Bat-titles are mostly aimed at 13+ and adult; and kids have dogs they can relate to the comics if there was a dog in it. i picture a little kid playing with his buds and his dog gets to be Ace...

the mask looks silly on Ace though...hehe

You can always sum up Ace's existence by saying "Hey...it was the seventies."

Yeah, it was the age of superhero "families", back then. All the heroes had to have a plethora of sidekicks and supporting characters. I mean, look at Superman, he had a dog, a cat, a horse AND a monkey.

Ace the Bathound has also been showing up regulaly in that Krypto the Superdog cartoon. He's only cool in that series because he's voiced by Scott McNeil.

And there's the whole Batman angle. But Scott McNeil could make anyone cool.

mmmhmm all I know is up they ever made a teenage mutant ninja dog I'd give up on the guys forever and say laird has lost his mind lol.:lol:

Ace couldn't talk. He could think, but he couldn't talk. It was the sevinties for god's sake. They had Bat everything.

I'm not being serious either...I sort of figured it was from the 70's like I said trust me I'm not a jerk...the boards have just been full of annoying trolls that have gotten under my skin allot as of late.
But anyway it's all good just answering you about Klunk...poor little guys dead now though.

I feel bad for missing the issue...but I got worms of madness when it came out so I'm not complaining.

Pretty sure Ace was in the 50s, around the same time as Krypto.
