Predictions
 

Make predictions on the plot or characters now, before the movie is out. That way we can all look back and check out the ideas we had and such, and see who was right and who was just freaking crazy ;)

Karai will have a pretty big presence in the film. Just like her cartoon counterpart, she is the daughter of Oroku Saki seeking revenge for the death of her father. So on top of fighting off the monsters, the Foot will take their chance at killing the Turtles. Hopefully, Karai herself fights. I would love to see her go toe-to-toe with Leonardo.

April will actually fight, showing off her ninja skills that Master Splinter taught her. She'll be in a romantic relationship with Casey.

I have a feeling that Splinter might die in this film, since his voice actor (Mako) died. I know they could always just recast but wouldn't it be a great plot twist to see Karai kill Splinter. Of course, this will set up the sequel with the Shredder possibly returning.

The guys come back together after years apart. After much heart warming and breaking discussion, they realise their true calling, and so throw down their ninja weapons to become the world's first reptilian boy band. It goes well for the first couple of years until Splinter is caught back stage with an underage handicapped child. With their approval ratings dropping like Shredder's head off his shoulders, the guys begin a desperate quest to get their groove back. Then someone says that's a retarded idea and puts something together with CGI.

I think the plot will involve. Leonardo going up against Karai on his own because the other turtles can't get their act together he gets hurt or almost dies and the other turtles realise that Leonardo is in trouble and focus enough to help their bro out. ending credits.....

My predictions:

The movie opens with the turtles on a training run through New York. It's nihgt time and the turtles are jumping from roof to roof. They hear some comotion coming from the streets below. They go down there to see thugs bothering someone. Befroe they can react, Casey Jones arrives and takes down the thug. The turtles talk with Casey for awhile and go to see April at her shop.

The turtles and Casey are being watched by Foot ninjas all along. The turtles visit April, and they all go back to the lair to hang out. April trains with Splinter for awhile.

Foot HQ, Karai is making a deal with crazy Winters. He teams up with Karai and use magic to bring to life Aztec warriors and other monsters. Winters plans to take over the world, and Karai plans to help as long as the turtles are defeated. Karai wants revenge for Oroku Saki's defeat.

Mikey and his brothers go to a birthday party as his Cowabunga Carl costume. Things don't go right at the party, and Mikey looks like a bumbling idiot at the party. On their way back to the lair they are attack by Foot ninjas. The Foot ninjas are defeated and Leo asks what the Foot is planning. The ninja tells Leo about the monster plan with Winters. The turtles go to Winters tower to find out whats going on. They are attacked, but win the battle against monsters. Winters retreats, and the turtles find out he's going to the jungle for something. The turtles, Splinter, April, and Casey all go to the jungle and travel. They fight native bests along the way. They make it to a temple and battle Winters, Karai, monsters, Aztec warriors and Foot ninjas.

It's a big battle, and the turtles win. They go back home to New York.

I say Shredder has to come back eventually. You can't have TMNT ANYTHING without Oroku Saki....

why do you assume that Mikey is going to look like a bumbling idiot? Gawd :roll:

Cuz he's Mikey... They already foreshadowed it with him falling in the dumpster (in the teaser trailer) and getting beaten down by rugrats (in the party scene shown exclusively to audiences at San Diego Comic Con '06). Somehow, I get the feeling that was your point though... :sweatdro: *wipes the egg off his face*

oh God what ever! I guess I'll just put up with it I guess. But I wish franchises would get away from portraying Michelangelo like an imcompentant idiot all the time. Since this movie and its characters are supposed to be more Mirage-ish I would have liked to see a more Mirage like Michelangelo, (who I've been told isn't like this in the comic) rather than the public sterotype.

If my prediction doesn't come true, I'll shave my head!

Ok.. things already known about the movie:

1: Leo has been gone for a year training with the Ancient One (well he trains with somebody but dunno who so for now Im just saying it's the ancient one)
2: Mikey gets beat up by some kids and kicked where the moon don't shine while dressed up as Cowabunga Carl (seriously)
3: April is no longer a reporter but going to college to be a scientist
4: April and Casey are in a relationship
5: Raphael is now a costumed hero known as The Night Watchman
6: Mikey is a major fan of said hero (not knowing it's his own brother)
7: Karai hires Max Winters to make a bunch of monsters
8: There's a Shredder action figure coming out with all the other movie figures
9: Some of the monsters include a vampire, aztecs (including a topless female who represents snakes...), the Jersey Devil (who looks more like Mew from Pokemon), and some weird looking spider-thing
10: At one point the turtles go to South America to fight the Aztec gods (This is what one of the books coming out in January is about)

Now my predictions:
1: Max Winters will betray Karai
2: The monsters will get out of hand, causing Karai to ask for the help of the Turtles
3: Shredder pops up in the end
4: Somebody will die or get seriously injured near the end of the movie.
5: Many of the monsters will be extremely lame (Oh come on...the Jersey Devil is pink and cute! )

I'm a little concerned about this whole "monster" angle. This could turn out to be a silly-cute fest as opposed to the scary-threatening scenario I'm hoping for. My prediction: Jersey Devil joins the TMNT as a "pet" by the end of the film (much like Slimer in the Ghostbusters film).

I think Shredder will be in the opening flashback only but will be hinted at throughout the movie.

Raph's the Night Watcher. The Night Watchman is an Image comics character that is a parody of Batman.

I'm with you on the monsters thing. I think you might be right with the jersey devil thing too, but honestly I've always liked Slimer so if he's half as cool I won't mind.

I definitely like the idea of the betrayal and Karai working together with the turtles.

With the turtles going their seperate ways and Mikey working at kids parties it makes me think of Ghostbusters 2 XD

It'd be interesting to see any old news reports vs current, people telling each other rumors, etc to get an idea of what the public thinks of the turtles. Even in TMNT1 it seemed like people were aware there was 'something' out there.

Casey and Raph cruising the city for trouble and throwing insults back and forth.

I hope Casey isn't as awkward and bumbling as in the new toon. I LOVE TMNT1 Casey and April, my favorite incarnations of them. I like tough girl characters but I REALLY don't want to see April fight alongside the turtles. I don't necessarily want to see her constantly in need of a rescue but at least be realistic about it, like in TMNT1 where she hid on the ceiling at the end, dropping stuff on the Foot to help out so she wasn't totally useless and she wasn't magically a perfect fighting machine either.

If April's a lab assistant..... what will she be working on? Will we get a hint of Stockman or will that stuff have already happened and she's gotten a new job or will the whole Stockman thing not be at all part of movie continuity? What if she was working for TCRI/TGRI? ;)

Big Foot??? Are we going to get Nessie and the abmininable snowman too? >_> Oh geez, I thought these would be REAL monsters with their own unique stories, personalities, powers, etc (or at least something from Aztec mythology) not cutsey fairytale monsters -_-

They definitely should find some ziggurats that contain a portal/special thingie.

I'd like to see Klunk wandering around the lair :x

I'd love to see some kind of pillow fight/food fight/etc once the guys are getting along with each other again.

Donny definitely needs to build them something essential to defeating Winters. But not something huge and impossible, more like infiltration gear, tracking devices, small stuff.

You can have half an entire comic book series without Oroku Saki.

Well, I'm gonna miss the old news reporting April O' Neil. I thought it was one fo the best issues of the whole movies and growing up on the cartoons. Here she is, a news reporter, and yet she doesn't whisper a word about the turtles to no one.
