Damn, Don has had so many solo issues in Tales. Why don't the Mirage crew just up and give him his own book already.

I think Mikey's the one missing out. Raph and Don have had their fair share of stories, Leo coming in close behind.

Raph has never been the main focus of a Tales story. Two stories where he is the main turtle we see, the focus is on Shadow, while Raph is just looking out for her.

What about the last Tales ish? i seem to recall Raph being the main turtle in that one...

I forgot about that one but it's still not the kind of story I want to see Raph star in. I want maybe to see how Raph went from being kinda crazy to how he is in Volume 4.

Don has been getting all the love. Leo just got his whole 5 issue mini-series. Mikey and Raph are getting screwed here.

Raph actually gets his miniseries coming up soon.

My review

Aside from the art, it didn't do much for me.

This was a rather interesting issue. The idea of a soul capaciter seems rather fascinating. I like the idea that the ceratopsian's might have a common ancestry despite their hatred for another. The Triceraton vs Styracodon thing kinda reminded me of Dinosaucers. Styraco and Tricero were ceratopsians on oposite sides.

Im not sure of the setting but it was possably after Splinter's death as his spirit helps Donatello and the deceased Ceratopsian. But then again Splinter alive could have been powerfull enough to cross that much distances in space.

As for the ship...Mike was right...it DID look like a pair of giant binocculars. :lol:

Where does it say Steve Murphy says there'll be a Tales of Raph kinda thing???????

I liked this issue. It was a solid story and I really liked the art. They must have this guy draw more!

I think Murphy mentioned in the back of Tales 28 that Tales of Raph would be out next summer. (Come on guys, we need some Mikey love!)

Don probably gets all the stories 'cause he's Peter's favorite.

Finally got a chance to read this issue - have to agree on the art. Really solid stuff (the manga look to the machines was wicked)! Hopefully Dave will do more. Thought the story could have been a little longer though, perhaps have gone a little more into the relationship between the two races (maybe it's further down the track though?).

Don gets all the stories because... he's.. no, I won't say it.

Seroiously, this was a great Don story, it picks up more on his inner self. Once again, that spiritual, soul-searching thing he goes into from time to time in various issues of the Mirage books, at least those I can recall out of hand.
There was the Don story years ago, (can't remember what issue and who drew it, anybody know?) that had to do with the Great Turtle, and Don acting like a shaman.
My fave Don story was in an anthology where Don drew some art in one of his journals and Mike thought he was losing it... "Whatever bitten you must have been poisonous! That's hella schizo, man!"
That's the story that latched me onto Don as my fave character. :)

TMNT Vol. 1, #37: Twilight of the Ring. I love how Leo didn't want to leave Don all by himself, both of them crying and whatnot. Ah, brotherly love...

I'll have to look this one up. Sounds like a good read.
