What's everyone doing for New Years Eve then?
 

Well? its hogmanay tomorrow, so what are you all up to for it? getting hammered? not getting hammered? working? what?

me, i'm working it. I see hogmanay as just another night out, and haven't really had any awesome experiences on it. I much prefer new years day in which i'll visit family during the day and normally go to a coupla house parties in the evening. So i'm working (for the 3rd year in a row). I'll be on the bar, (so will my fiancee, which is nice! - no worrying about trying to get a kiss at the bells) and its not exactly the strictest of places, so i'll probably be boozy by 11.00pm(ish). then after we are all closed up, all the bar staff and the live-in staff (its a hotel) will be getting free drink until the wee hours of the morning. so, free drink all night, and its double time. much better than paying a ton of cash to get into some crappy club, taking ages to get served, finally getting served and it costing like double the amount it normally would, then trying to get home in a massive taxi queue. finally getting a taxi and it costing twice the amount than usual. there's a massive street party going on too, in which Wet Wet Wet are headlining, but i really dont fancy that, especially since its supposed to be really wet and windy, but my mam is a massive Wets fan, so she'll be there.

So, what are you all up to?

simply Nada (nothing). I wish that I had something to do for New Years.

I don't drink, so I don't do that...

I invited a bunch of people over, but the only person is able to come is feeling sick, so I could end up doing a whole bunch of nothing myself. :tdead:

I'm getting drunk somewhere in town. Depending on which bar has the best music, I'll be there, drinking myself under the table with the lads and about three lasses (more welcome, but not required).

I'll be sitting here by my lonesome.

I think the neighbor kids have fireworks. I might watch them shoot some bottle rockets or something...man my life is boring :P

Oh come on guys you say theres nothing to do but there must be something!

I'm going to a party, but I'm not sure where right now. I'm trying to decide before tommorow. :lol:

And at the party I will get really drunk and play a game. The game is who can stay up the longest still drinking. Nobody else knows they are playing though.

My grandparents always come over for New Years. So we'll all hang out at home... I'll watch everyone eating all the yummy food... And it'll be New Years.

I like that they come over, though... It's tradition.

I just caught a fever and a sore throat, so I'm spending my New Years Eve watching James Bond and finishing Zelda: Twilight Princess. Not too bad, I guess.

It's not that there's nothing to do....it's just that doing something requires money, and I am broker than broke :( and anyway, I'm not much of a party type. I'm a big homebody.

It's really ok though, because I'm moving! YAY!!! I don't mind being by myself tomorrow much. Just makes it like the previous years :)

Probably just going to hang out at home with the family.

I'm going out to get hammered at a party... one of two I'm invited to. Didn't decide yet which one, tho'.

I'll be doing nothing at all, mostly because my girlfriend hates me, but also because she works. More because she hates me though.

I'll be seeing the German rockband "Die Ärzte". It's going to be a huge-ass open air concert.

I have the honoured task of taking my 16 year old brother out and "showing him a good time". Almost all clubs and pubs are over 18 though, and they're especially strict this time of the year so I may end up taking him to some parties I have been invited to. Alternatively I could ditch him in an alley full of prostitutes and go get drunk myself.

I have homework to do tonight...:roll: Working on my teaching portfolio and have to start developing lesson plans on either reptiles, birds, or mammals.

I'm getting drunk at a party right now!

Especially as my apartment has never been this clean/uncluttered.. EVER.

The way I'm feeling right now? Throwing up. And I haven't even had anything serious to drink yet.
