TMNT 2003 on Region 2 DVD

Alright all,

Loved the Turtles when I was a kid and recently got back into them lol. Hanging onto my youth at 26 I think!

My girlfriend got me the first thre volumes of the 2003 cartoon TMNT. I live in the UK. I'm just wondering as my DVD player only plays region 2 DVD's, what volumes have been released so far in the UK?

I've since bought volumes 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 but can't seem to find anymore on region 2.

Can anyone answer this?

Thanks in advance.

Your best bet is to buy a region free DVD player and import the volumes from the US. Cause I read back here awhile ago they stopped making UK DVDs after the volumes you have and alot of UK fans were ticked about it.

Paul I'm sorry to say Spitfire is right, the TMNT DVDs over here stopped after Season 1.

The only way to get the rest of the series is to get a region free DVD player and import the US DVDs.

I'd personally recommend www.hidefdvd.com as they have most (possibley all) of the DVDs at a very good price.

Also make sure you use to official site episode guide so you can view the episodes in the right order as the Season 2 DVDs do start to mix up the order putting "bonus episodes" on the discs to cover the series with less DVDs. This sadly got even worse with Seasons 3 and 4, but the recent Season 4 2-Disc release put things back on track.

Every episode is out on US DVD now bar the Season 4 finale and the following "Lost Season". The 13 episode DVD set was recently pulled from the release schedule, possibley so that they could be aired next year to coincide with the new movie. The 12 episode "Lost Season" (but not the Season 4 finale which acted as a pilot for the series) is coming out in Australia and New Zealand next March, but unless they change the set to include the Season 4 finale I'd recommend waiting for a US release.

After that comes the new "Fast Forward" series. The first 13 episodes will be coming out on DVD in the US in February. The remaining 13 will probably be released around the same time in 2008. Though opinion is very mixed about Fast Forward. I'd recommend getting the normal series first and if you enjoy that then watch Fast Forward when it comes to UK TV next August (plenty to keep you busy between now and then with the normal series). If you enjoy that then it could be worth getting the DVDs, but opinion is so mixed I'd recommend watching an episode or 2 before buying the DVDs.

Ahh then my next question, as I don't want to change my DVD player as its rather nice and was a present! I remember a number of years ago there was an internet site that had codes that you could put into the DVD player to make it play any regions!

Would anyone know of this site or a site like this?

Thanks for the help so far guys! I'll defo have to get all the volumes!

I think if you put the make and model into Google along with something like "unlock codes" or "region free" you should find a site with what you're looking for.

If that fails my girlfriend just got a region free DVD player from Amazon UK for £17 that she says is really good, so you could get something like that as a cheap secondary DVD player to watch your TMNT DVDs on.

Edit: She just said that the site says it's region free but the instructions with the player say R2, but don't worry as the player is region free.

If I remember right there were 2 region free players (cheap ones anyway) on Amazon UK, one for £17 and one for £25, but the cheaper one had better reviews.

If you're looking for Region 1 discs for Season 2 volumes 11,12,13,14 you're welcome to buy mine. I bought them in new condition from eBayUK at the end of 2005.

Would £20 for the four discs including postage and packaging be ok then?

These have all been kept in good condition. No scratches on the discs or anything like that.

Sounds good Stephen, PM me your full name and address and I'll post you the money as soon as I get paid ok? Thanks, why do you want rid of them?

Are they still making the cartoon series, I've heard about the Fast Forward series but what about the normal series that I'm getting into now?

Fast Forward is the 'next stage' of the 4Kids TMNT. The previous run ended with Season 4 on TV, and the Lost Season that has been planned for DVD -some time- for the US (with a few eps. shown through On Demand).

Aww that is a shame but still I've plenty of dvd's to buy before I even get to the Fast Forward series!

Well, that's good. I've already gotten all the DVDs put out so far. So Fast Forward is next for me (as the first DVD for that is due out the beginning of Feb.).
