So far we know the following magazines have articles on the game
Play Magazine *Also has an interview*
Game Informer
Tips And Tricks
Rocket Magazine

The screen shots in them are from the PS2 version of the game. There is also a DS game being released but info on that is scarce.

This game uses the "Jade Engine" found in the Prince Of Persia games. The creators said someone good at acrobatics will be able to free style through levels without even having to look around for places to jump, while others can take their time. It is promised that there's a great nix of combat and acrobatics. The game is single player because the creators wanted to stress how important the family aspect of story is. The TMNT are split up and they later gain unity. The game will be similar to that.

The game has all the voice actors from the movie in it, as well as scenes from the movie, and promises to have lots of easter eggs for us fans ranging from comic stuff to the cartoon.

If there's any new info we can post here and I'll add it to this first post so people won't have to read the whole topic to see new info.

Is the Game Informer article a current article or something old?

Spitfire 01-13-2007 11:38 PM

New I just got the issue in the mail today, has Blue Dragon featured on the cover.

Roseangelo 01-13-2007 11:40 PM

Awesome, I'll have to go look for it.

Oh, but that box says PAL.. so I wonder if that's the UK cover? Their covers are often different from the US covers. Hmmmm.

Spitfire 01-15-2007 03:14 PM

Alot of the time PAL box art is actually the same as the US version only the artwork is more edited. They add to it more. I tend to see that alot. And often times it looks way better. Either way I dig the box. I like how Don is in front cause on the movie poster he's in the back.

leonardo77 01-16-2007 04:47 PM

I found this link with some screen shots that I haven't seen before http://gameonrevolution.blogspot.com...-wait-for.html

Rooish 01-16-2007 10:24 PM

Those are fantastic screenshots! Also, I love the boxart (and it's great that Don gets to shine!) I love how I'm getting used to 3 different poses we've ever seen the TMNT in for any promotional pic from this upcoming movie. It's just like what happened with the 2K3 show.

ThemanthatwouldbeRaphael 01-16-2007 11:53 PM

Please tell me those new screenshots are more of the PS2 version. Because they look ass ugly.

Spitfire 01-16-2007 11:55 PM

They are the next gen versions promise to be amazing looking.

TerranigmaFreak 01-17-2007 09:11 AM

Those new shots are the PS2 version. The one a posted earlier last month came from the 360 version. Notice the textures aren't as clean in the PS2 version.

Raph 01-17-2007 10:31 AM

Those Wii screens do look awesome, I cannot wait for the Wii version!

Looking at those new screens it almost looks like it'll be a 2 player game!

Raph'N'Roll 01-17-2007 12:40 PM

It really does look like it took 12 months to develop, those graphics are atrocious, even for a PS2 Game.
The gameplay had better make up for it, but I have my doubts as most licensed games are crap.
I'm expecting it to be like an inferior version of Prince Of Persia, I find it's best not to get one's hope up for licensed games.

INFO

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES

The new TMNT video game uses the same dark and dangerous environments and adventurous themes featured in the new TMNT CGI film being developed by Imagi Animation Studios and Mirage Licensing. The TMNT movie takes place in a New York City plagued by secretive villains and strange, otherworldly creatures. Faced with these perils, the Turtles will experience their most trying time as heroes and as a family, as Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo lose their focus and struggle to maintain their unity and ninja discipline. In the movie and in the highly immersive video game adventure, it’s up to Leonardo and the faithful father figure Splinter to reunite the band of brothers and save New York City from a monstrous evil that lurks around every corner. Video game players will engage in over-the-top acrobatic navigation, collaborative combat and powerful fighting moves.
Features:

Harness the power of Ninjitsu and become a master of combat. Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo are playable and each have unique acrobatic moves, weapons and combat skills, such as Michelangelo’s fast nunchuck face slap and Raphael’s powerful Sai throw.
The Turtles jump from rooftop to rooftop, scale tall buildings, dive into sewers and race through every corner of the city to confront their enemies.
Together the Turtles can team up to reach locations unattainable alone, or defeat the enemy.
Characters from the movie and the original comic book series – including the Purple Dragon Street Gang and the infamous Foot Clan – and a whole new group of enemies creep out of the shadows to face the Turtles.

It's not 2 player. One of the features is you can call on the other Turtles and preform combo moves.

JetsAndHeels 01-17-2007 02:24 PM

I preordered my copy last night for the ps2. Cannot wait for this one to come out!! I will play more madden or old 8 bit TMNT to hold me over.
