Okay, I'll explain my reasoning behind my 'Yes'. It's rather simple. In the minds of non-turtle fans, the turtles are a childish tv show and most of the non-turtle fans don't even know about the comics. That point aside, of the people I've talked to about this new film, most have warmed up to the idea as I've told them it's more indepth in terms of character and story and well, action too. Most non-turtle fans, given the choice, as would I, don't want to see a watered down TMNT film. Yes, the elements of humor are there but not to the extent that it has to be one pop culture joke after another, which I believe most CG films have become nowadays (at the rate they're coming out). This is not to say that they're all bad--I'm merely saying that the good ones get lost in the stampede. But back to TMNT, to answer the question, if the audience, fan or not, are given a story and actions based off that, then I see no reason that they won't like it. I don't want to and well can't give spoilers, so I'll just say this: if promotion picks up and more people are aware, then I see a sequel in the future. The public just has to be aware and once that happens, leave the rest to them and they'll carry the film forward. The message here: start advertising! People can't see what they haven't even heard of.
