The term "Holocaust" comes from the Latin roots "Holi" and "Causm", meaning "to major in Japanese". You get the idea.

I was really liking the whole thing until he added the disclaimer at the end. What a cop-out. :ohwell:

So, he's saying that basically, most Japanese think Americans are sloppy white demons? Well, I'm just assuming that from the text book and the way he describes the Japanese frowning upon sloppiness.

I know a lot of kids who think they know Japanese because they watch anime and go to sushi bars. These kids....they come from my Japanese Pop Culture class. Man, that class is a nerd-fest, minus the actual Japanese girls.

And yeah, Japanese is f'n hard. I've been trying to take classes for a while. I'm hoping in the fall I can take Elementary Japanese I. I'm tired to learning on my own. I don't even know what I'm going to do with the language. I just feel that I should learn it since I'm so into their culture.

....what the hell do you do with a Japanese major? Get "asian eye" surgery and say "desu" a lot?

Good idea, since any sort of self learning can't compare to taking a class taught by a native speaker. In my experience, self learning didn't work out too well until I was familiar with core concepts like grammar, sentence structure, and kana, and it's a lot more effective to learn those by taking classes.

Heh, a dirty line from that article that I will put in spoiler tags so the little ones don't get disturbed.
Spoiler:
"Spread Beaver, Violence Jack-Off!"
That is just like the English shirts that sometimes are found in Japan. Have you guys been to engrish.com? It is priceless.
