Please help, my Turtles 2(arcade) game is screwed up.

I have the rom and got everything to work but the game is really dark. It's hard to see. Some stages are bright but most are dark. The life bar and stats are bright though. Is it something wrong with my rom or the emulator? I have the newest version of Mame.

there might jus be something wrong with the rom, i recommend dl'n a different one

TerranigmaFreak 01-19-2003 11:18 AM

I tried a couple of places but it's the same thing. I'm talking about Turtles in Time by the way. Does anyone know where I can download the better version? I got the old one from mame.dk so I don't see what could be wrong with the rom. They are very reliable and don't post broken roms.

try adjusting the color settings on your rom, if you have any, maybe that will help

TerranigmaFreak 01-19-2003 11:31 AM

Adjust the color setting? How do I do that? I really suck at using emulators.

Karpo_007 01-19-2003 11:43 AM

Maybe it's your monitor... I have no problems withthat game. Actually the game isn't perfectly emulated yet, but the only errors you can see are Foot changing color.

TerranigmaFreak 01-19-2003 12:27 PM

It's not the monitor's problem. I've played this game before with perfect colors(except for the foot of course), but after I got my new computer, I had to download everything over again but I'm still using the same monitor. I don't know what's wrong with it. This sucks.

It's gotta be the monitor because I've also noticed brightness/contrast problems on my mom's computer, which uses a different monitor than mine. ANY image on a site is barely visible. At most all you see is a black blur on her screen, especially at night. Try adjusting the settings. Like many that have already said, I've had no problems with mine whenever I play that particular ROM.

If it is not a monitor issue, I don't know what to say.
