Channel 6
 

Why did April work for Channel 6 in the 1987 TMNT cartoon, and Channel 3 in the movies? That was confusing. Since the movies came later, it would have been better to let her work for Channel 6 also there.

cus channle 6 fired her for making whacked up stories about walkin' talkin' turtles. :lol: nah. seriously i dunno...

Different universes.

In all actuality April only worked for Channel 6 for Seasons 1 -7, then she went indipendent and in the final season worked for Channel 9.

In the current series there was a joke about that in Secret Origins. April pretended to be a reporter first for Channel 9 news then the number on her jacket went upside down to become a 6. :lol:

I know that the movies was a different TMNT universe than the 1987 TMNT cartoon, but why was this changed when the movies came? Channel 6 news reporter is Aprils most famous work, including all the different TMNT universes.

I guess they didn't see it as that big of a deal, since in the original comics she wasn't a reporter anyway.

As a kid I got confused, because the cartoon was all I knew about.
