Turtles handicapped?
 

do you guys think TMNT are handicapped because they are marketed towards kids therefor us older fans may not get the experience that you might want from the turtles? or are you happy with the way TMNT are marketed because it keeps the turtles fun?

If you had to decribe yourself as a turtle fan would you be one who likes the turtles as more "cowabunga"? or the kind of fan who likes to see more seriousness?

I like seeing the fact that the TMNT are marketed to multiple audiences of different ages... kind of like how Batman or Spider-Man is.

I like a smooth mixture of both.:D

I like them as they are in the new toon/movie. Light-hearted yet serious. It's too deep a property to be all sillyness, but at the same time it's too way out there to be completely serious.

Good question. I could definitley see how the fans who prefer a more mature TMNT incarnation(myself being one) are handicapped, probably because there is less of us to market too.

As TheManthatwouldberapheal said it, I really like them lighthearted but with a serious tone. I love the more mature stuff, but not when it gets toooo gritty and loses its charm.

Even the more mature incarnations had their humor.
Don falling into a vat of pink dye... Mike finding a kitten, naming it Klunk and then going in to play with the toys at FAO Schwartz... The other bros ragging at Leo to stop being so serious when they are on vacation... the crazy Halloween costumes... a lot of that got covered by the new cartoon, though. :)
