This was cut'n'pasted from somwhere on the offical TMNT site. Ijust pasted it in a note pad file so I'd have it to look over when needed, so I kinda forgot to keep the link to the real version of it on the site.:
"4Kids Entertainment will premier the new TMNT cartoon on the Fox Network starting in February 2003. We've got a month now, as soon as we know the day, we'll post it here! We've got some unconfirmed news regarding the new toys from Playmates. This list remains very tentative, but it gives you an idea what kinda Turtles toys we'll be seeing in 2003: Spring Release Items: TMNT Figure Series 1: Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael, Splinter, April, Shredder and Foot Soldier. TMNT 12" Figures Series 1: Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael. TMNT Vehicle Asssortment 1: Turtle Motorcycle, and Turtle Sewer Sled, TMNT Deluxe Armored Truck. TMNT Role Play Items: Leonardo's Sword, Donatello's Staff, Michelangelo's Nunchaku and Raphael's Sai. Summer Release Items: TMNT Figure Series 2: Casey, Foot Elite, Triceraton, Mutant, Leonardo II, Donatello II, Michelangelo II and Raphael II. TMNT Vehicle Assortment 2: Turtle Foot Vehicle and Turtle Smart Car. " This was from a few months ago, but the section on ninjaturtles.com is still there as far as I know. It was on the same page as a press release from Playmates & stuff (if any of you know where that is). -Snailman |
I think that list has changed now, as we know April wasn't in series one of the figures and there has been no mention of Elite Foot or Triceratons in the new series, though some magazines have mentioned that a Foot Tech Ninja (from episode 7: The Way of Invisibility) will be released later in the year as will a Nanotech Monster (from episode 5: Nano) which could be the series 2 figure noted as "Mutant".
As I have posted some where before the most recent list I heard (can't remember the name of the toy mag but it had "Return of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" written on it) stated the following: Series 2 (June) April, Casey, Hun Series 3 (October) Foot Tech Ninja, Nanotech Monster 4 Extreme Sports Turtles would be released about the same time as series 3 though whether or not they are part of the main line or not has not been confirmed. |

And whats with only 2-3 figures in each series? Thats kinda lame if you ask me, only 3 new figures between June and October? Well, Casey Jones is pretty cool, so it's not all bad I guess... I hope they make Mousers, a Mouser 3-pack with spring-powered snapping jaws would be sweet. They could give them neck & leg articulation & they'd work fine. Quote:
Man, the toy fair just can't get here fast enough...hopefully alla this crap will be explained by then. -Snailman |
don't get worried, it is good that there will be seperate lines. The one out now deals directly w/ the new show's characters, would you rather see the extreme sport turtles involved w/ the tv shows line?? I didn't think so and w/ seperate lines that leaves room for more characters for the regular(aka Tv show) series of figures and could give way to a mirage comic line :) It my friend is a good thing :D
