So why the hell did they do fast forward?

good lord this series is awful

gobo 03-20-2007 05:10 PM

When you find out, please explain their delusional mindset to me as well. Thanks in advance. ^_^

Do your research you two. Obviously, 4Kids wanted to bring a new light-hearted feel to the TMNT while also exploring the future like they envisioned for the TMNT--plus side is that they can walk around in public mind you. It was a way for them to depart from the ever-so-dark tales of the other four seasons and...not to mention come up with some appealing toys so Playmates would sell more figures and stuff.

blueoakleyz 03-20-2007 08:42 PM

the stories are awful.. it feels like nothing is rooted or grounded in TMNT history/mythos. I also always get the feeling that as soon as they get back to their timeline they will have undoubtedly change the future and all that stuff in the future won't matter anyway..

aww too many paradoxes to think about

surprises me they chose THIS year to do it, with the movie coming out

shellofinsanity 03-20-2007 09:06 PM

it feels like the same crap they did with batman to be, just total crap, 2k3 wasnt horrid but FF makes me want to gouge my eyes out

Ra 03-20-2007 10:06 PM

I think the theroy we can all agree is that it is a 20 minute slot for pure advertising, slapped together with a crap storyline. If things were as dark as they were in the original 2k3 show, this Fast Forward would probably be so much better. Unfortunately, 4Kids got there first. Oh, how I hate them...

How dare you speak ill of Batman Beyond!! And of course the 2k3 series isn't horrid, it's perhaps the best version of the TMNT!

Agreed.

Batman Beyond was such a great spinoff.. but the spinoff of Batman Beyond the zeta project was terrible.

kerfootw 03-21-2007 01:25 AM

Batman Beyond wasn't a spinoff. It's part of the Timm/Diniverse (Batman TAS, Gotham Knights, Beyond, and Justice League; yes, they're all connected) as a continuation of Batman TAS that happened in the future.

LMFAOOOOO @ the thread starter.

To answer your question: ratings, my friend. Fox wanted it, and they probably didn't get it.

Read the other 100 threads on fast forward to find the answer to your question. It has been thouroughly debated as to why FF took place.

I think thats a good thing. It would be very hard to do story lines around Bishop since hes a good guy in FF.

blueoakleyz 03-21-2007 04:27 PM

i cant stand that bishop guy
I hadn't seen him before FF

his voice actor really sounds um.........gay

Trust me, if you saw him in the episodes before FF you would not be saying that. Hes arguably the best 2k3 villian. Er.... ex-villian.

No I meant the voice of the voice actor. Same voice actor right?

Ra 03-21-2007 06:00 PM

They sound the same to me, so I'm going to say "yes". The last I have heard, all of the original voices from the 2k3 series were used in Fast Forward. So...I'm going to say yeah, same Voice Actor.

blueoakleyz 03-21-2007 06:09 PM

I'll skip those episodes then
