Triceratons

Does anyone else think the Triceratons were really well portrayed in the 2k3 series? Zog, Monza Ram, Traximus, Zanramon, and Mozar all had such distinct and interesting personalities. I wonder if you threw them all into a room together, who would come out as the winner? (Zanramon would be the first to go, I'm sure.)

Zanramon was a spoiled brat basically, but yeah, there was something nobel about them. At least as a race. I felt sorry for Mozar, even though I thought the whole "I'm suddenly nobel enough to shut down my system of government even though I've been portrayed as a frustrated lackey" thing was a little out of the blue even though it was a great way to end the whole thing. Being under that assholes thumb and taking the heat from a shrimp cannot have been easy.

Well, yeah, I didn't like Zanramon much either. But the other four were pretty cool. Monza Ram especially was wicked in the Alien Invasion arc, IMHO. I agree that Mozar's turnaround was pretty abrupt, but I'm glad it happened because I thought he was cool. I especially like when he defers to Traximus.

I thought they ended up being very strong characters and they show up in so many places additional to the Turtles in Space Arch
The Battle Nexus and Rogue in the House and even in FF
I love the friendship between Raph and Traximus
When the turtles battle Savanti Romero again in Season 4 Mikey names the triceratops Zog, that was hilarious

I loved the big guys in the 2K3 series, were they cool!
what happened in FF??? they're wimps! the frills are smaller too!

The Demestic ones yes but I would hardly call Kukko and his gang wimps. And why are you complaining about the simpler designs of Fast Forward? I mean we all know they suck. find a real reason.

Just thought you'd like to know it's Zukko.:)
And yeah I hardly agree He's sort of like FF's version of Hun.

Zucco seems a little tougher than Hun, but you're kind of right.

I do have a theory that Triceratons may be minorities on Earth, since we usually see them as mailmen or delivery boys.

Maybe some Earth people didn't forget about the Triceraton invasion?

Reminds me of...

Spoiler:
in one of the most recent Tales of Issues, Donatello mistakes a Styracadon's comment as a racist joke against Triceratons.

Really? Yay nice for Don to care so much.

Hopefully we will see some "good" Triceraton's or at least a small minor character

Masked Ninja 04-23-2007 12:11 AM

I'm a big fan of Traximus, actually. Dunno why, really... he's just cool and I liked his voice (though the same guy was Leatherhead for a while, who I also love... hmm) Mozar was pretty cool, but it's been a while since I saw the Turtles in Space arc (and I only saw the last half of the Worlds Collide arc) so I can't say much about his development.

Triceratons are cool. If there was a sequel to the 2k7 movie I wouldn't mind seeing them in it. Either them or Leatherhead.

I love the Triceratons and the TMNT in Space arc. They are great villains. Traximus and his friendship with Raph is great. I'm glad they are finally showing up as villains in FF, I wish they would do even more with them though.

Trax wins in 30 seconds tops. Zanramon goes first, then Monza Ram, then Zog, and Mozar falls last.

Traximus stands over them all and bellows a deep dinosaur rawr.

LOL. Guys, do you think dinosaurs actually roared? I mean ... usually reptiles don't roar, right? ;)

Yeah, I would LOVE to see the Triceratons make it to a sequel. Oh man. That would be awesome. *drools*

? Well Dinosaurs are actually more closely related to birds than to reptiles

Well to be honest I would have rather seen the City at War arc in movie form since the Shredder did die in the past movies, well at least everyone thinks he is, but the movie would be pretty violent.... and n would need better writers.

Well I do because that's what I have seen my entire life. Has it been proven dinosaurs were reptilian-like, or even cold blooded?

Rooish 04-23-2007 10:30 PM

Sorry if I was being a smartass, Neutrino. I meant it in a friendly way. But I always was under the impression that dinosaurs just roared in movies because filmmakers wanted to depict terrifying large predators doing what modern day mammalian predators (like lions) do: roar. That being said, I just looked up whether crocodiles (which are considered to be the closest living relatives to dinosaurs, besides birds) can roar, and they can. So I've been told!

And now a classification rant. Dinosaurs were not more closely related to birds than to reptiles ... dinosaurs were reptiles (with various structural differences from other reptiles), and birds evolved from them (for that matter, mammals, too, evolved from reptiles, but their evolutionary line broke off much earlier). Various fossil imprints have shown feathers on certain dinosaurs, suggesting ancestry (also the bone structure suggests ancestry). So dinosaurs may have been be closer related to birds than to any other modern reptiles, but they were still reptiles. As far as mainstream science goes, there's considerable debate over whether some were "warm-blooded" and some were "cold-blooded." A lot of scientists believe the two-legged, predatory dinosaurs were "warm-blooded" while other dinosaurs were "cold-blooded."

But still none of that matters because Triceratons are not dinosaurs, but aliens.

Also, I'd prefer City at War to Triceratons, too. But it would still be cool to see Triceratons on the big screen.
