Anyone have any info on the canned John Woo cgi film?
Just curious if anybody had any info on the now canned John Woo company cgi TMNT film? When this was announced a couple years ago I think everyone was wetting their pants on aint it cool news...a brooding dark and edgy TMNT film closer to the original book done in really cool cgi style?
The last thing I heard was the studios didnt think there was enough interest for it. Just curious if there was ever any screenshots, or concept art, or *anything* known about is. All I know was Corey Feldman was spose to do one of the voices(according to an interview from last year) |
I'm not sure,I haven't heard anything on it in months. :(
It never got off the table, The contract they had timed out. So nothing was produced, and therefore no screen shots exist.

hmmmm
i heard that after the new animated series and peter david comic gets underway, mirage is gonna shop around for someone to make a new live-action movie....
izzis true?? |
I don't know if there is official word on it, But if the TMNT becomes a success again, They will probably try to do a movie. But it seems that the Hallmark Tv movie is progressing, but it won't be CGI like it was said before.
well.....
it will be HALF cgi, anyways......
I meant it won't be even hald CGI. In Laird's "Plast from the Past" he only said Haalmark Live action movie, and that they have models what the suits will look like.
*sigh* I sure wish we could get some straight answers on this stuff. I'm sick of all the rumors. :dead:
Well Laird himself wrote that, so That is pretty much what it will be.
hmmmm
i was under the impression that the turtles would be rendered at least partially in cgi.....
Read the latest plast from the past. It speaks of suits...

As for live actionw ith cgi??? Noooooo...anyone seen Rocky and Bulwinkle or Kangaroo Jack? Suits are the only way to go with TMNT in live action. |
Anyone seen Lord of the Rings or Spider man? It could work perfectly. Besides as good the suits look in the first movie, It is clear that they limit the movements of the actors, and makes some cool moves impossible to perform.
The only problem I have with Spiderman (I loved the movie!!) is that when he was chasing after the carjacker, he moved very video-game-ish, and not as realistically as I would have liked.
Well what about gollum In LOTR?
I was impressed with Gollum... He was realistic and very believable.
Gollum is probably the most realistic looking computer generated character I've ever seen. Very well done and real looking. Anyway, I hope the new series is a success because not only could it lead to a new movie but it could lead to all or part of the original series on DVD.
