Custom Titanus Action Figure - Final Sculpt Pics now on page 2

Titanus was a character that didn't last to long in the red sky seasons of the old cartoon but I still like how he looks and have always wanted a figure of him along with many other this is just the first in many figures I plan to make.
If you have no idea who Titanus is you can read more about him HERE, HERE, & HERE
Also here are some images of Titanus From the show Thanks to Spitfire for the images.

Firslty I'd like to give a bit of information on what I'm sculpting on top of to make Titanus I'm using a Dark Ages Spawn Ogre figure he's pretty large and when a turtle is standing next to him it's a pretty good height for a figure of Titanus who is a really large character.

Oh now here are some images of Titanus This is just the start of him I've been working on him all night non-stop I ran out of Sculpy so I will go get some more and I should be baking and then painting him later tonight.
But for now I hope you enjoy what I've done thus far.

Like it says this is the final sculpt of the character more images are on the second page showing how large he is next to other characters in the tmnt action figure lines.
I will be posting painted photos soon as I have it finished!
Thanks again to everyone this has been a blast.

You make your own figures? That is quite impressive. Even though those pictures aren't the finished product, I can tell it is quality work.

Hey thanks so much I apricate the comment it's nice to see 30 people looked at this thread and no one said anything but you.

Dude, this is frickin' sweet! I've never heard of the character before, but what you've done here is just amazing! Wish I could do that...

Thanks I really apricate it. :) I'm trying to finish him up so I can start on my next ones.

Dude! That is freakin' hard core! A lot of people complain that Playmates doesn't make such and such a character, but you're the first person I've ever seen do something about it.

I'm guessing you've made your own custom figures before? Have any other pics of your work?

Thanks so much I have a bunch of others planed out allready but Titanus is first here. I plan to Make Darius Dunn, Crazy Mutated Nepolean, Mung, And 2 Versions of Lord Dregg, Mr. Ogg, Zach the 5th turtle, Bezerko, And some others as well from the old toon that I've always wanted toys of.
And thanks I apricate that because while like you said allot of people complain about stuff I either get to the bottom of things or just do them.

Tinuvielsdreams 06-20-2007 08:51 PM

wow I think someone needs their own toy line! Very very nice!

MrPliggins 06-20-2007 10:31 PM

looks great...I think you could make alot on ebay selling custom figs.. Next you should make the greatest figure-neglected TMNT villain ever... the Globfather.

thanks man! It's hard to part with them though but if anyone wants to pay me to make some one for them I'd be more than happy to.
And trust me he's on my list he's a pretty crazy character. Most of the Red Sky characters are first on my list. It's a shame so many of the old toon characters didn't get action figure treatment.

Spawn Guy 06-20-2007 11:20 PM

Love the pock marks. And the way those spikes just look natrual. And he's huge with out being totally fat. I'd pay top dollar for that.

Mostly because you'd make me, but still.

soccerstud652 06-21-2007 09:18 AM

Put,

Very nice work. May I make a suggestion? I commend you for your work, but I was not sure if this was a suggestion thread to comment on the work so you may improve it. My only suggestion is the shoulder pads. I think they should be smaller and closer to the arms. What do you think?

Now, here's a question. How long does it take to master this technique?

I saved a Technodrome model I made out of clay in highschool, and it came out pretty crappy back then. I'd love to take another shot at it..

Also, do you know if this store, http://www.sculpey.com/ is good to order from?

Revan 06-21-2007 11:06 AM

Wow, great job and thanks for sharing the photos. I love his blemished face and individual teeth!

Leonardo19 06-21-2007 12:42 PM

Looks great so far. I can't wait to see it finished. I'm glad you are getting people more into customizing TMNT. I have been wanting to get back into it for some time now and you have inspired me. I can't wait to start my figures for the custom contest. If you need any help with customizing contests or prizes or anything let me know. This is something I really want to see more of in the future and I want to help in anyway I can.

Thanks and yeah I actully agree with you the only reason I didn't do that is because they look odd smaller, I have them placed in the spot they are so the arms are still able to be moved.
I plan to sculpt on his legs the same way so that he will still be articulated after being baked.
Do you have any suggestions for baking him? Slash told me to use a blow dryer but I'm not sure how well that works I usually pop them in the oven for a bit but it doesn't always go so well.

Um well I'm not sure but I used to sculpt allot with clays and sculpey as a teen and haven't done it in years this is my first time going back at it in some time I'd have to say I've gotten allot better but perhaps thats because I'm 27 now and not 18 like when I did my other ones I'm allot more focused now.
I've never orderd from that online store but Sculpey is what I use.

Thanks so much I've still got allot to add to him I had to stop because I ran out of Sculpey and had to have a tooth pulled yesterday EEPP! I'm starting to get better now though.
And his teeth are a little something I like to use called tooth picks hehehe.

Hey thanks I can't wait to see him finished as well because that means I move on to the next classic character.
Thanks and I'm glad I could inspire some one :)

Nightwatcher 06-22-2007 04:19 PM

I will agree with everyone else in saying this is a very cool figure.

When you make figures are they posable at all or do you just pick a pose you will want and make him out to be in that position?

Also do you make weapons when you customize the guys as well? I'm not sure if this guy had any weapons but for others.

Am eagerly looking forward to seeing the completed pictures.

Spitfire 06-24-2007 11:02 PM

I know I told you how awesome this was on AIM but seriously man this is some stellar work.

BigApple3AM 06-25-2007 12:08 AM

Wow, that's some amazing customizing. I hope you enter 2 entries in the custom contest, I'd love to see as much work from you as I can. Great stuff.
