Shreeka's Revenge

The Technodrome site has a quot today (27 June 2007) where Krang says April is a reporter in the "city above us" (him) in the "Shreeka's Revenge" episode. Isn't that a misstake if Krang is in the Technodrome when saying that. Shreeka's Revenge is season 6 (1992), with the Technodrome under the Arctic Ocean. OK, New York City is higher up than the Technodrome, but New York City isn't above the Arctic Ocean. I imagine they confuse it with season 1 or 3, where it's more correct.

Shreeka's Revenge is one of my fave episodes.

I think at some point they move the Technodrome closer to New York through the ocean. I seem to remember an episode where they raise the Technodrome from the ocean near Manhatten. I could be wrong though :)

That seems to be "Shredder's Triumphant", last episode of season 7 (1993).

Well, they always used the transport modules so it always seemed to be up. Though the Technodrome was nowhere near civilization at that point so they might have had to travel up to get to NYC.

Does any one think this episode should have gone more indepth with Krang's partnership with this woman? Man finnally something about Krangs life before he hooked up with Shredder and they barely get into it. Argh!!

And is it me or did Shreeka remind of you of a female Shredder? :|

Finally watched this episode.

Shreeka had good potential. But it seems they just kept her as another alien mad scientist du jour.

They could have easily transported the Technodrome across the ocean floor. Hence I did not pay it much attention.

I wish Marc Handler had written more OT episodes. The "Sword of Yurikawa" episode was one of the best episodes I have watched.

I would have really liked to have seen more of a brawl happen between April and Shreeka, instead of just that brief "catty banter" that occured between them right before Shreeka went down to bussiness. The fact that there was a female villan introduced in the series that had it out personally for April was pretty cool. And wasted potenticial since they didn't go more into it.

Does any one know who did the voice of Shreeka in the episode? She didn't sound like the normal female cast that voiced incidentals in the show. :|

If you're gonna go there, you have another one you need to get to.

Hey, how do you get a gif to actually upload here? I've been trying to respond to this post with a specific gif for the last 20 minutes, and no matter what I do it gets turned into a jpg. I can't complete the joke without it!

I know. It appears there wasn’t a thread made for “Night of Sho’Kanabo”. Let me dig. Stay tuned!

A .gif should work just fine in a the [img] brackets.

I have the gif file on my computer, but every time I try to upload it as an attachment, it uploads as a jpg instead of as a gif, and I'm not sure why.

Upload it on a hosting site/app then post the image link in the brackets. Or find it already hosted elsewhere and link that.

Much obliged! I had to go through a couple of gif sites, but I found one that works! Anyway:

(Hopefully this doesn't qualify as obscene. I tried to find a textless gif, but none of those worked).

Do you guys want to discuss this ep? I thought this was a really fun episode. I also like how this episode they plan on building a second (?) Channel 6 building only for it to all get destroyed by the end. For some reason I wrongly remembered Shreeka screaming and sending shockwaves out (like an X-men mutant or Batman Beyond villain), but I guess I wrongly remembered. It would have been funny if she did that hence her name.

ZariusTwo 04-12-2026 09:41 AM

Shreeka would have made a good regular baddie in a non-red sky continuation of the show

Also in Attack of the Neutrinos, the Technodrome rises to the surface and nearly reaches New York before falling back down.

And in Atlantis Awakes, well the Technodrome reaches Atlantis.

I guess it slowly moved from the Arctic Ocean eventually reaching New York. It was probably far away from the Arctic Ocean in Shreeka’s Revenge.

cammy85 04-13-2026 09:04 AM

I never understood that. In Rock Around The Block, they fell through a hole in the Arctic where it originally took a portal to get there in Season 5's Muckman Messes Up; but the Turtles could slip down there in the Turtle Van in Super Irma. I won't even both with the other examples because you get the idea.
