Rank Titles- Suggestions for Changes?
 

Since Krang is planning to update the rank images for the Technodrome soon (which are currently silver stars), I began thinking that it might be a good idea to consider updating the rank titles as well. Right now, we use fairly general terms for ranks (like "Member" and "Advanced Member"), so I was thinking of how we can possibly change this to better reflect the Technodrome's image. I came up with a general list that is very open for suggestions. Since our site is mainly dedicated to the "Technodrome crew" of the original TMNT show, these titles are meant to represent the bad guys rather than the Turtles:

-Villain in Training
-Fighting Robot? (needs better wording, but represents things like Mousers and the various robots the TMNT fought)
-Random Punk
-Foot Soldier
-Stone Warrior
-Hench Mutant
-Alien Mutant
-Mad Scientist
-Rival Ninja (or Foot Clan Ninja)
-Emperor?
-Supreme Ruler? (these last two represent how Shredder and Krang sometimes referred to themselves when they talked about ruling the world, but better suggestions are needed)

We need 11 ranks in all. So...any thoughts on this? Would you rather just keep things as is or does this sound interesting? Thanks for your input!

Perhaps there's room for 'Purple Dragon' between Random Punk and Foot Soldier? And how about a Foot Elite Guard one?

Sorry, just noticed that you are referring to the old toon and not all things TMNT :toops: Guess that makes sense, we being in the technodrome and all! For the Figting Robot one, howsabout 'Robotic Drone' or something? Or perhaps just 'Mouser'?

HEHE MOUSER! <3 I don't have too many constructive things to add. I love the idea of "mouser" as a rank. I'm not digging the whole "emperor" thing though. Maybe toss "conqueror" in there somewhere. I'm almost tempted to suggest "pizza topping" as the lowest rank >_>'

I like Krow's suggestions a lot. The rest are good to though, just Krow's really work for me.

I agree, Krow's suggestions are pretty good, though I still like the idea of "Random Punk" that Shredder put up.

Great suggestions, everyone! Krow and Katie both had some good ones in there. I like the possibilities of Thug, Mouser, Robotic Drone, either Foot Ninja or Elite Ninja, and (Alien) Overlord. I'd like to see more ideas before we come up with a final list, though. Thanks for everyone's help!

What about allowing us to choose a title for ourselves? Like I call myself, I dunno, Super Fun Happy Guy?

Wow, I really like the rank ideas that everyone has. :) It'll give us a distinction from other forums. My one hope is that there's at least One rank involving mangoes... ;)

Yeah, the problem is there's always people who would put stuff against other people or post inappropriate things, so it's probably not the best option in general.

You could do what Tokka does over on Mikey's and just give everyone a random unique title without any input. I'm "..Domo Arigato, dude !!" :lol:

Though the personalized one is more... personal, it sounds like work for somebody. I still like the idea of attaining a rank ^_^.

And absolutely nothing could be done against that? They could do the same thing in their signatures.

Well, heres a thought, though I don't know how technically feasible or reasonable it is, but what if the personalized ranking came at a certain level, say the highest level. So, basically, use the current/new ranking levels, but maybe when you reach what is now Legendary, you get to personalize your title instead? I dunno, just a thought...

Though I do like Krow's suggestions alot though...

Just put mine as 'None of the Above.'

Well, we do have personal ranks over at our other site, but it's only after something like 1250 posts and 6 months or so of being a member. I'd have to check with Krang as far as if it's technically workable or not, but we still need ranks of some sort for everyone else if we do decide to do this.
