I just bought the issue today, and while I have a few things (and spoilers) to discuss, I really want to know:

What movie are Shadow and Raph watching together?

Also, where does this fall into continuity? In between Tales #7 and Volume 4?

Lulu was an awesome character, much to my surprise: on the cover for #2, I thought she looked like a moron. I wasn't too surprised who her momma was, though.

I also loved the fact that Raph got geared up. He had a whole shell-load of weapons, including a few baseball bats and a hockey stick!

Finally, since when does Shadow carry around a katana?

Whoops, forgot one more thing.

Why does Raph go answer the door? Now, if this is during or after Volume 4, aliens and mutants are accepted.

But I think it's before Volume 4, so why the heck is a mutant turtle answering the door? Shouldn't Shadow get the door? If if had been anybody but Lulu, they would've freaked.

Oh, okay, one final thing: I loved the scenes with Raph interacting with the women. Especially Lulu. That kid is great!

The Exorcist, a horror classic.

You know, I was really looking forward to this issue, but it really didn't end up doing anything for me. I dunno, it just feels like not a lot happened and what did wasn't very interesting.

And I also didn't get why Raph went and answered the door like that.

Ross Campbell needs to draw some interiors.

That's the most dissapointing thing about this series to me.
Not to rag on Lawson because the guy gets it enough but to see the cover and then over the comic I'd of thought I just picked up a Marvel comic or something.:ohwell:

Hm, pretty much my thoughts. And it kind of leads us into what seems like a wackier continuation to come... but I'm down for the ride.

What do you folks think, maybe Michelangelo would have been better suited for this mini?

I'm not a fan of werewolves or weird eyeball bats either, but Raph and Shadow together make an awesome team.

And like I said, I love Lulu. She is hilarious.

I enjoyed it, 'twas quite good. Dug Raph's interaction with all them girls, especially when they were all on the couch. And I see him getting all that gear on as kind of him 'manning up' a bit. And Raph 'ralphing' was pretty funny too...

I agree Tookie. Those were the best bits so far.

Does anyone else think Sloane was a bit too quick to forgive Shadow? Like she's planning something?

In the previews on the official website, it's mentioned that someone was pulling the strings of Raph, Shadow, and Lilith. Sloane is conspiciously absent in mention.

Read it today. Pretty decent. Needs a conclusion, though.

How old is Shadow in this Tale?

It said something about Donnie and Leo not being right there- which is in a Tale not yet written. Could it be a simple explanation where they just stayed behind while Raph took a trip with Shadow? Or will there be something else that needs Leo and Donnie specifically?

so what exactly happened in these bits between Raph and the girls? How did tough mean ol' Raph handle all these teenage girls?

Seems more plot-driven than character-driven at a glance, but sounds like good fun.

I hope before it's over we at least get a bit into Raphael's head, and he has his own personal "Arc" throughout it all.

This Tale does take place after the Utrom's landing on Earth, so it's not so far-fetched for Raph to answer the door; Shadow is apparently around 15 or so if I remember right.

I hate to play the role of the continuity critic, but the epilogue of Tales #7 states that 5 years passed since Shadow began living in the farmhouse with Splinter (and the Turtles):
"That was barely five years ago. . . . I spend the first year hating it all . . . By the second year I started to loosen up, appreciate my weird mutant family . . . Sloane would freak if she could see me now. . . What about the revenge Lilith threatened... What about the future she promised?"

But in Bad Moon #1, Lulu says:
"I like Shadow. . . . I bet she and Sloane have a lot to talk about. They haven't seen each other in almost a year."

An oversight or am I just missing something here? At the end of the day, comic book continuity is overrated anyway.

I think it takes place just before Vol. 4 starts, not after the Utroms arrive.

Why Raph decided to answer the door himself, I haven't got a clue. Maybe he figured he'd scare away whoever it was. Or, considering he just guzzled two beers and probably had more before that point, he might've just been really drunk.
