Who watched the original 1990 movie in theaters?
 

I did. I remember it like it was just yesterday. It was the first movie I seen in theaters.

I didn't watch the first one in the theater but I watched the second one:D

And no I don't remember it like it was yesterday, only fragments of it because I was just 5 years old at that time. But I remember I love them very much back then, and still do now.;)

I was there opening day back in 1990, I was a sophomore in high school. That day I fell in love with Raphael.

Not in the theatres. Why? Because it was either watch it or go to Toys R Us. I do not know why it was this choice- and I do not remember if it was me or my brother who could not wait on the Toys R Us. So after we came back from our European vacation, we rented it and watched it many times.

The second and third and fourth ones I DID watch on the theatre.

I did. I only remember watching certain parts though: the turtles mutating, Raphael getting jumped, Splinter's story, and the turtles fighting the Foot and then Shredder.

I remmeber the first time I saw the trailer on television as well. I was in Maryland at my Aunt's house when it came on. I went running to find my parents to tell them.

i didn't get a chance to see it in theaters; however, when I saw it on VHS, i rented it over and over (never bought it though for some reason). Anyways, as I got into the Turtles as my favorite heroes, the movie was always there for me to watch.

I saw all three in theaters. :D Not discounts either. Go, me!

Sadfully I was too young when the movie was in theaters. My first movie experience with the turtles in theater was TMNT

I also saw the three of them in theatres, I went to secret of the ooze three times I was driving my mom crazy I also made her take me to TMNT 3 while we where on vacation:P

It makes me feel old that everyone can't answer, "But of course I saw it in the theater!" I suppose one day it'll be a badge of honor kinda like it is with Star Wars, since a lot of Star Wars fans weren't yet born in 1977 (myself included).

I was 12 when the movie came out. We went opening day. The theater was in a shopping center and the line went out of the theater and around the shopping center. It was so insane. Needless to say, we came back another day. There was an annoying little kid in front of me the whole time screaming the turtles' lines.

I didn't see the other 2 in the theatres but saw TMNT 3 I rember my Grandpa was going to take me to see Jurassic Park but instead I wanted to see Turtles instead. My Granny bought me TMNT 2 On VHS and I taped the first movie when it was shhown on TV possibly on Christmas Day or something like that.

Yes I saw the first film in the theaters twice actually because I loved it so much and I saw 2 and 3 in the theaters as well but was dissapointed in 3.

I have seen all the TMNT movies in the theater. The first two I saw twice, the 3rd one I only saw once & the 4th one I saw 3 times...I was 12 or 13 at the time the 1st movie came out & it was all I could talk about for months! I was so pumped about the 1st one...ah, good times, good times indeed :D

I also saw all 4 movies in theatres. I remember the first one so well. I was 10I went with my mom back then. I loved it. When we walk out of the theatre I jump down the stairs skipping all the steps, feeling very ninja-esque :lol:

I remember going to see TMNT 1, I can remember, they were passing out pizza boxes that had pizza inside, that we can eat and watch at the same time, it was pretty cool :D. I didn't see TMNT 2 or 3 in theaters, but my mom rented them for me.

Hmmm it always strikes me as weird and puzzling that there are actually fans who love the turtles as much as us mid 20's people who are too young to have seen the turtles in 1990. But i guess that just shows the true awesomeness of the property as compared to say power rangers...

anyway I was not there on opening night for the 1990 film....I actually saw it a week early at a special sneak preview for what i believe was the fan club. I went to meet Raph at some furniture store (it was a guy dressed up in a suit. Yeah i don't know why he was at the furniture store either). But we went and my mom entered me in a drawing for tickets to the advanced screening and i actually won! It was awesome. Everyone got animal crackers shaped like the turtles and the box was shaped like the turtle van. And then just like someone earlier said they were also handing out pizza. Before the movie there were alot of games and prizes and raffles and such in the theatre....I didn't win anything:cry:

I also saw secret of the ooze on opening day and turtles 3 on opening day and TMNT at the midnight premiere. I also saw the turtles on the coming out of their shells tour and almost went and saw them when they were on oprah.

I saw 1, 2 and 4 in the theaters at least 2 times each.

I never saw the thrid one in the theaters, kind of wish I did so I could say I saw them all.. but it doesn't really matter to me all that much since the third one was bad... real bad... :dead:

I was born the same year SotO was released (almost 2 months after). The only movie I saw in theaters was TMNT (the new flick).
