Murphy confirms the Ninja Tribunal eps will air on 4kidsTV in '08
 

We basically knew about this already, but nice to know that Murphy just got the news confirmed again after a meeting with 4kids:

"Just got back from a day of meetings at 4Kids Entertainment and among the many gems learned, decided upon today is that the "lost" Ninja Tribunal episodes WILL finally air on Fox in the US (minus 1 or 2 non-NT continuity episodes)... but not until sometime in 2008."


I don't know what the last line means, but 4kids has already aired "Membership drive" so maybe that plus the incomplete Garbageman episode is what 4kids won't show. Those are technically the only two fillers in that arc, although I don't see why 4kids wouldn't rerun "Membership drive" in its proper order at least.

It's a sad day when "idiocy" appears to be the most reasonable explanation... We have too many days like that. :ohwell:

"Father's And Sons" and "Membership Drive" I assume. But "Membership Drive" has stuff from FF in it as where "Father's And Sons" is just terrible and unnecessary.

Anyways this is cool but I've seen it so I hardly care if they air it or not. The only plus to them airing it is if the ratings are high then they might kick back to the darker 2K3 style. And With the half anime style of season 5 I can see that happening. They will nab the little kids and all the middle schoolers who think anime is awesome.

Oh good... I've chosen to wait for either the DVD or TV... so I actually can look forward to this (even though I've already been spoiled on the end of the season to some extent :ohwell: )

The question is, will the DVD have these "non-continuity" episodes on it? (minus "Nightmares" cause I know about that one)

There would be no reason to leave those eps off the DVD. Plus-- "Fathers and Sons" was GOOD! *huggles episode*

I don't think they wouldn't show those episodes (minus the one they didn't make, of course). The releases says they might not air those, meaning they could air them anyway.

I can't wait, but I would rather get the DVD some time soon sos we can see them all at once, commercial uninterrupted and not on a fuzzy little non-cable TV.

I hope they put all of them. "Fathers and Sons" is cute. And "Membership Drive" is not bad, even for a filler episode. I am a completist when it comes to this toon. And the Australia DVD does not have "Ninja Tribunal" from season 4. So I will be getting the Region 1 DVD.

That's all a matter of opinion.
I wouldn't go around saying I like it to much though 4kids will get the wrong idea and before we all know it we'll have the show turn into Ninja Babies.:roll:
No Episode in this series is considerd a filler episode if you don't believe me ask Peter Laird. But I'd be carefull he's so sick of people calling them filler he might kick punch you in the face.

Filler episode does not automatically equal bad. It can be relevant to the season- it was just not part of the main plot.

Actully everything in the 2k3-FF series is relevant to everything.
Even the smallest cog is important to the huge machine.

'Filler' is a matter of personal opinion meaning 'unnecessary'. Like, the Garbageman episodes... How are they necessary? If "Nightmares Recycled" had ever been completed, that would give the previous Garbageman episodes more significance.

"Filler" is subjective. You could say "Turtles against HATE" was a filler. Some might consider "Ultimate Ninja" filler. For me, a filler episode doesn't cover the main arc for that season. Granted, everything in 2k3 is tied together somehow, I agree. As for athe overall arc of that season, some could be filler.

He said he considers nothing in the show to be Filler.

Yeah, I view "filler" as any episode that doesn't go with the current arc. But it doesn't necessarily mean that the episode is by default stupid or pointless.

The fact that TMNT2k3 "fillers" still firmly place themselves in continuity (such as, Lone Raph and Cub - which was a standalone story but definitely happened while Splinter was missing) make them a whole lot more watchable than fillers for some other shows. And it's something the show really has going for it. :tpizza:

I don't see how "THE GOLDEN PUCK" could be anything but filler.....that episode has to be the worst:roll:

I blocked that one from my memory, but you're totally right. That ep was both "filler" and "bad".
