What happened June 28th?

I saw that there was a record 201 people logged onto the 'Drome 06-28 2005. I've thought about it, and I don't remember that day being any kind of "turtle day".

I think that was the day the Spiders came along...

They wouldn't have happened to be of the itsy-bitsy variety... would they?

Erm... Well... I guess they would be. Ad Spiders and the like came along as guests when the forums were updated with new stuff. We still get them, but it's not as many. Check the stats every now and then and you'll see Slurp Spiders as guests here.

Yep, that's exactly it. Before that, our record was around 65 or so from the 2K3 cartoon discussions, and I would reset it to that each time bots came along and bumped it up, but it started happening so often that there was not much of a point of continuing to reset it. I could look up the correct record and try resetting it again now that the bots have calmed down, but since I see that record legitimately broken every few days or so, it wouldn't last long. :P
