Could OT Raph work in other mediums?
 

I was just thinking... could OT Raph's personality work well in other mediums where Raph is normally a tough guy, a loner, or a grump? I think it could. I mean, sarcasam isn't just a thing that works in children's shows.

What do you guys think? What would Raph be like if his sarcastic OT personality were aimed at an older audience?

I think a lot of the other Raph's DO have the same level of sarcasm or wit as old toon Raph, but its better disguised as anger or mood swings.

To me, OT Raphael is not all that different from the Raphael we see in the other TMNT universes. They just focus on different aspect of his personalities. It's not like NT Raph is always sullen and a loner. Or that movie Raph never zings out the sarcasm and cynicism. Or that OT Raphael had no determination or never used his fists or did not like good fights. So if they lightened him up a little in the other universes, it would still be fine without totally altering things.

Good points. OT Raphael's sarcasm has certainly been part of, if not as prevalent, in every universe I've seen; everything else you mentioned is true as well.

yeah what they said. there's some sarcasm with 2K3 Raph; actually alot. Unlike OTR, we seem more of Raph's aggression in 2K3 which is more like himself.I think OTR had more frustration than anger, and he'sdeal with it with sarcastic wit.

Raph was sometimes in a bad mood, but not as bad as he is in more current medium. So unless Leo really REALLY got on his case, old toon-ish sarcastic Raph would never fight it out with Leo like he did in the movie and in the comics. It would be less problems with the team, as in the old show Raph never really had a problem following orders from Leo (or Don, since he always had all the answers).

If anything, Raph would be looking at the 'camera' and snapping at all the things that made Fast Forward suck. Like if they face the Dark Turtles 'ih great... just what this show needs... another set of Mutant Turtles'. Or when Bishop started with the mutant infestation thing, 'and here I thought this show wasn't gonna have a whole lot of mutants'.
