Episode Title Request.

Hi.
Hopefully, this isn't against the rules, but I've been trying to find the name of an old episode of TMNT (Original Series). It aired in the US sometime after "Leonardo is Missing," and it's the last one I remember watching before the series became difficult to find on American TV. I'll try and explain the episode as best I can.

This was one of the last episodes made before the "red sky" seasons. It involved an alien-like creature that could hypnotize any character and did so throughout the episode. The Turtles themselves were being hypnotized and the remaining ones had to sneak into the building the creature had taken over.

Unfortunately, I don't remember the ending since I had to turn off the TV. I've always wanted to see the finish, but, since I can't remember the title name, I've been lost. Any help would greatly be appreciated!

There is a listing with episode summaries at www.ninjaturtles.com. Just look under the 1987 TV series.

Yeah, I took a look and couldn't find anything - That's why I'm here. So, for anyone that did read the previous post, what episode does that sound like?

Again, any help is greatly appreciated!

I checked the list and could not find anything either. The episode's plot does not sound familiar at all- it's probably not on ThouCylinder.

ummm I have every episode on tape from the day it aired and no such episode exists you must be thinking of another show or have the story mixed up.

EliotAndrews 08-29-2007 02:05 PM

Hahaha, I'm quite sure it was a Turtles episode. It could have been an episode that aired at a different time than normal - After "Leonardo is Missing" aired, new episodes airings were sporadic until the "Red Sky" seasons came along. Chances are, you're one of the many that missed this particular episode due to the time changes.

I guess I'll have to search every episode in the Synopsis or find the episode when all the DVD Sets are available.

VaughnMichael 08-29-2007 02:06 PM

yeah everyone in known existance and a obsessed turtle kid like myself missed a single episode...
Are you by chance thinking of the Star Child?
that's the only episode I could think of that even comes close to what you're thinking of but he doesn't controll peoples minds he can move objects with his mind though.

EliotAndrews 08-29-2007 02:22 PM

No, that's not it - It was quite a scary episode, if I remember correctly. This alien-type creature had control of most of the characters on the show, including one or two of the turtles. (If I remember correctly, it even gets a third turtle.)

I don't remember what building the alien creature converges the characters on, but I think it could have been the Channel Six building. (Predictably enough.) I remember the Turtles having to sneak through vents to avoid detection.

Like I said before, though, I didn't see the end of the episode, so I can't say exactly how it ends. (Besides well, like any TMNT episode.) I've been searching for quite some time too, and have found nothing. So, any help is greatly, greatly appreciated.

VaughnMichael 08-29-2007 02:36 PM

I'd like to help but like I said you either saw something else or are thinking of something else and have some thing smixed up.
It also almost sounds like the last time we see baxter stockman when he takes of chanel 6 and turns everyone into insect mutants.
The only time I can think of the turtles crawling through air ducts is during the red sky lord dregg episodes.

ToTheNines 08-29-2007 02:45 PM

Certainly don't sound familiar. And if Putrescent can't help you with somthing from the original series, you're most likely S.O.L., he's one of the OT guru's here.

EliotAndrews 08-29-2007 03:19 PM

That is pretty odd - I wish I had seen the entire episode to know what happened. If you guys do think of something, post. I'd greatly appreciate it.

I think the episode you might be thinking of is Dirk Savage: Mutant Hunter.

We have a winner! the dude was a Mutant tho, but you got it. One of my favorite season 7 eps, can't believe I couldn't think of it.

Scandia 08-29-2007 05:08 PM

I don't remember that quite being the plot of that episode. But then, I was mainly focusing on Tokka and Rahzar. I think the main villain was trying to convince people to hate mutants. And Dirk Savage was doing the actual mutant hunting. Don't remember anything about hypnosis.

There were these wrist bands that controlled you, not really hypnotizing you, but same thing.

I have the episode on tape it's one of my faves A.J. Howard has his own building he was going to unvail it had the statue of himself at the top of it with his mutant head shown since he was running around with the mask on to the public most of the time.
You know it really is a shame Playmates didn't do what it did for the old toon what it did for 2k3 I'd love to have so many of the old shows characters in plastic form.
Anyways he had these big gray braclets he slapped on all the mutants to make a mutant army.
And Raphael makes a crack about how there are so many mutants running around ever since Shredder mutated that zoo which made me go hu?
Since we never saw that one guess it happend off screen lol.

Spitfire 08-29-2007 09:19 PM

Maybe Shredder used the same Zoo to mutate Groundchuck and Dirtbag that he did to get the warthog and rhino used for Rocksteady and Bebop.

That or it's one of the 5 never made episodes.
