er...i have a junior question to ask?
why the four were named after the magnates of The R?i kida fail to see any connection between them.0xo
|
Splinter named them after Renaissance artists because he found an old Renaissance book in a storm drain.
Kevin and Peter picked Renaissance names because they would be easier to pronounce and remember than Japanese names. |
uhm, turns out they ARE no connection.XDDD
i feel much for the artists' names, why name them JP names anyway...XD oh,and thank u~ |
uh... cause Hamato Yoshi was Japanese...and they were ninja...?
the artist names were a good original touch. |
I was allways under the impression their names would also fit very well for brazilian football players...err anyways, is the way they came to their names the same in all turtle universes? (Because i just tried to imagine a rat reading a book about the renaissance o0)

I wonder why each Turtle got each particular name. After all:
- Leonardo DaVinci did science in addition to art. - Raffaello Sanzio was considered the normal one of the artists. - Michelangelo di Buonarotti was quite irascible. - Donato di Betto Bene did a very sassy and ornate David, as compared to Michelangelo's simpler version. So the names of the artists seem to be a bit mismatched to the Turtles' personalities. |
^ and because it's a bit silly-clever. keep in mind the turtles were initially meant to be a parody.
