cool cgi Don pic
Since there was a cool cgi raph pic thread, I thought it would be nice to show this as well.:P

...so where is it?

That looks a lot better than the Raph one.
|
Yeah I agree, the Raphael one was way to human looking.
|
Yeah, the Raph one wasn't cool (what was up with the head?).
That Don is how I wish the Turtles would've looked in the CGI movie. Very classy. |
Hmm, nice shaders. Not a fan of the head, though. The body is too realistic to match that cartoony head - look at those cheeks. There are many things I'd change about the 2007 Turtles' heads, but at least the shapes flow into each other well enough.
Other than that, the modeling job is pretty dang good. |
Ahh, much better than the Raph one.
|
alot better than the raph one. the image itself looks like it's a statue, not an computer image. the head is funky though, too much cheek and i do like when they show some emotion other than silly looks of aggression. it's too generic to me. eyes too small, personally with a realistic looking turtle i want to see eyes

I agree w/ many of you, the head is a little too puffed up. That body texture and muscle rig is amazing.:o
I also wanted to tell everybody that I'm into animation as well and I'm working on cg tmnt which I'll be posting on youtube when I finish. Here's the link to my youtube page to keep you posted: http://www.youtube.com/user/thebrownranger I don't think its gonna be as good as this Donatello pic though. |
I also agree the Don one is a lot better than the Raph one.
|
Holy son of Steve! That's an impressive 3D model.
|
It really is. Who ever made that should make more models of the rest of the turtles.

My CGI Don pic
http://www.shreddersdojo.com/webposts/Donatello.jpg http://www.shreddersdojo.com/webposts/Donatello1.jpg It'd need a real artist to spruce it up, and a real texture type to get it closer to the original show.. |
The OP pic looks like an action figure or a statue.
