Theory's as to why turtles leave their home
 

It took me until now to realize but it seems some event will make the turtles leave their home again. For those who have heard the the new theme songs they stress the lyric Back to the Sewers. Any theories as to what happens? I think either Viral or some other villian destroys their home or the time window somehow causes it to collapse.

Or.... they could just ne going back to the sewers after a full season of living in a futuristic penthouse...?

It would be pretty weird for the theme song to be soo misleading.

One or two of the songs have a lyric about living under a train stop, so maybe there is a new place. But in general I agree with Coola Yagami; they've gone back underground after living the easy life in the future. I don't think it's at misleading.

They might get a new sewer lair, that's about what I can make of it. I'm more interested in Shredder's confirmed return, I hope they handle it well.

I think it's just another way of saying going back home (Home being the sewers) even though I doubt this will be the "home" remember leaving from all the concept art is the new season thread. Yeah it's definitely going take some adjusting having to hide out again

They stopped living in the sewers since the second half of season four.

Thats why I am asking for theories as to why. Their not going to say to each other "Hey, lets leave our nice and cozy building and go back to the smelly sewers so we can be constantly attacked every season". :lol:

Well... they'd have to go back to their normal time.. I mean they can't just live Fast Forward forever and never see Casey and April again...

Ah, I gotcha. I guess I misunderstood, hehe. I dunno, but it was mentioned pretty early on when the new season's official story was announced that the turtles would go back to their old sewer lair and that Don would add a bunch of new features to it using knowledge he gained from the future. As to why they do it, I dunno. Maybe they arrive several months after they originally left and someone took over their home. Or maybe they actually miss the sewers after living in Cody's tower for so long. It could happen. ;)

But wait, weren't the turtles living in the sewers in the first episode of Fast Forward? Now you're confusing me again. I wish I had season 4 on dvd so I could see what you're talking about.

Seconded... I think taking the song lyrics literally is a recipe for confusion.

They were living in a giant building near the the river in the first episode of FF. It sort of looks like a castle. Karai and the foot destoyed their old lair in the sewers in season four.

And Klunk! Everyone forgets Klunk... poor Klunk..he's probably dead by now cuz everyone forgot to feed him.... :(

SORTA looks like a castle??? It IS a castle. It's Belvedere Castle and the lake in front is called Turtle Pond.

I doubt their changing lairs again, they only had their current lair for half a season. It would be retarded to change lairs again. It means coming back from the future, back to the sewers. The people who made those lyrics were idiots anyways. Half of them don't even make sense.

has the new lair with the pond been fleshed out at all? I don't really recall any significant scenes of the new lair after the one that Karai destroyed.
