You're favorite piece of Mirage art

This can be a cover, promo art, a skecth, a panel what ever you got, let's hear it!

Mine are kinda random:
The cover of TMNT III: The Manhattan Project for the NES by Michael Dooney. As a kid I would just stare at this thing forever, I had no problem with the cartoon back then but I really wanted one in which the turtles looked bad ass like this.

Leo vs. Shredder in a light sabre battle by Peter Laird. I think this was featured in the back of issue 24 of volume 4, dunno why I love it so much, but it's well done and very odd.

This cover is my favorite, by Dan the man himself.

It sold on Ebay awhile back but I couldn't afford it. Also it was on some weird foam board.

I used to love that videogame cover also...as well as all the video game covers when I was a kid...still do. As for a favorite piece of mirage art...I'll have to get back on that.

Awesome, and it's a wrap around too! Mikey's on the back, wearing some strange arm bandages.

The page where Shredder arrives at the rooftop from #1..

Beautiful, dark and kinda mystical..

Hey Spit... that was a printer's proof of some sort. I know, 'cuz I was the seller. I bought a huge lot of them at a hefty price, but I had to sell a few to make my money back, since I shouldn't have spent it at all. I hated to let that one go, but honestly I thought I set the price so high that no one would pay it and I would get to keep it! Imagine my surprise.

I'm not too clear on the process of printing, and at what point the foam board is used, but there were only a few of those thick ones, and I got proofs on all different kinds of paper, from various stages.

I remember when all those proofs were on ebay. They looked pretty cool and I wish I would have picked up at least one of them just to have a different part of the printing process than the normal art. But I think at the time, my collecting focus was elsewhere...

As far as my favorite Mirage art, I would have to go with the sweet triple page spread from issue #10. I just LOVED that spread as we see the return of the Shredder. The cover to that issue is also my favorite, along with the cover to #11 (of which I'm the proud owner of! :D)

So I had to think about this a lot... it's impossible to pick an all-time favorite, so I'll just say that this is my favorite one right this moment.

The one I scanned is one of the printer's proofs I bought, and one of the many I absolutely would not part with. If I remember correctly, this was in the first Turtle Soup. It's been a long time since I read it, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

On any other given day, I'm especially fond of all of Zulli's work, Dan Berger's Raph pinup with the bloody sais (from which Vol. 1 ish I forget...) and I practically worship the original black and red cover to #1. And I just keep thinking of more...

Awesome! That's very close to one of my favorite pieces of art, but it's the full image of skeleton Raphael.

That one's also awesome, and a full splash. Unfortunately when I bought this off Chris, he didn't have the skeleton Raph page anymore...:dead:
