The Technodrome on the surface
 

Forgive me if this has been asked before, but I searched for technodrome and got waaaaay to many results, I looked through the first few pages and didn't see anything though. During the opening song for the old toon it shows the technodrome topside for a split second. Did that ever happen in the show, or was that just drawn in for the intro? I don't recall it, and I haven't made my way through the dvd's yet.

It was drawn in for the intro but the Technodrome was on the surface a few times. The first time was when it came from Dimension X the first time near Niagra Falls. I don't think it made it to the city though before it was forced toward the centre of the earth.
The second time was when it rose from the centre and did make its way into the city.
The third time after that was before it was destroyed (or sent back to Dimension X and subsequently desserted) and that was at the end of Season 7, I believe. But it's weird because the Technodrome in this episode is so much smaller than before! lol. It's so weird!

Any idea of the name of the episode where it makes it to the city? Also, I think I just saw a pic of the third occurace you mentioned in the OT screencaps thread. It does look much smaller, and the eye is different. And it had a windshield thing. Maybe krang got his ride pimped.

What about the episode where it was on the surface but it was only a dream the turtles had where they didn't exist.

That's Shredderville, season 3. The turtles had a dream about how the world could have been if they didn't exist.

The episodes that themaxonline is refering to are Return of the Technodrome, The Big Blow Out and Planet of the Turtleoids. In the Planet of the Turtleoids episodes Krang and Shredder build a smaller verison of the Technodrome called the Technodrome Mark 2. The Technodrome also makes it to the surface in the episode Shredder Triumphant.

I recommend watching the whole series. It's a neat show, with or with out the Technodrome being on the surface.

I plan on it.. Ive got them all, just havent had time to watch many of them

oh! I forgot about the mini Technodrome! Blast the Planet of the Turtloids not making it on DVD! Now I really want to see it again! :P

Didn't the technodrome also get shrunk to a miniscule size in some episode?

The Big Break In, but that was very temporary.
