TMNT and TooL share sounds

As well as being an avid TMNT fan I am also a fan of the band TooL, as a matter of fact they were my first intro into the world of hard music when I was young and I have been stuck on tool ever since.... anyways.

I was watching the episode "Four Turtles and a Baby " from season 4 last night and during a scene where all the babies are lining up in channel 6 getting baby pictures there is a crying track going in the back ground. One cry sample in particular was the exact same sample used a few years later in one of the tracks on TooL's album "Aenema". For those of you who are not into TooL they do this thing on a lot of their albums where a good number of the tracks are not songs they are samples mixed together to create a wider "album experience" I guess you could say. So I just thought it was funny because it was the exact same audio clip used on the album and in the episode.

Wow, cool. I bet there is dozens of things like this that no one really knows about, good find.

They probably came from the same production library.

Well if you ever get a chance to listen to the tool track, it is freakin creepy!!

As cool as it is this is common to reproduce the same sound, just like how the Star Wars laser sound effect is pretty much used...well....all the time.

Yeah... look up the Wilhelm Scream for the ultimate reused sound.

This is true, although I found it interesting because Tool generally tends to create most of the sounds on their records but this one obviously not.
