What do you people think about Casey?
What do you people think about episode 41(Casey Jones Outlaw Hero)?
I personally think it's one of my favourites! |
Like most of the OT episodes it's silly but in a fun way. Appliances fighting in the streets is rediculous but come on, it's ninja turtles! It's great to see casey jones in the OT but his voice was a bit "clint eastwood" wasn't it?:P
I thought it was a pretty good episode when looked at in context with the rest of the series not including seasons 1, 9, or 10 |
A bit silly, yes. But fun. :)
|
Pretty fun, the wacko personality works even if he is nothing like the real Casey in fact I'm not that big of a fan of Casey or at least "whipped" casey like he is usually potrayed, the first movie potrayal is my favorite, crazy casey is cool in my book.
|
Actually... that's exactly how Casey looked in his first comic appaerance (except the shoulder-pad).. and he kinda acted that goony before Raph calmed him down some...
|
Yeah I used to think he was a real bad ass with his Clint Eastwood voice. But once I saw the movie I liked his portrayal there a lot more, simply because he was not only bad ass, but pretty cocky as well.
|
I like him but they need to get away from portraying him as goof ball whos whipped. Casey from the Live Action movies was the best portrayal for him.
|
Casey seemed pretty angry and crazy and anxious when we first meet him in the 2k3 series. He even broke some of the Turtles' equipment in one episode. I do not think he is whipped. He just becomes calmer than in the 1987 series.
|
He's not the comic book Casey for sure but I'll take "the martians are coming" Casey over the new movie Casey anytime. Mr. Jones is my favorite character and although I liked almost everything about TMNT I hated seeing him portrayed as a skinny, whiny, "I-don't-think-I-can-be-the-kind-of-grown-up-April-wants-me-to-be" dork.
|
aww, I liked Casey in the Movie, he wasn't a dork. I thought he had alot more maturity and smarts than the cartoon version of Casey. He was the only one who gave Raph a ear to listen in stead of critising him like Leo and his family; so I respect that. Although why does Casey in both versions have werid colored hair!? :o

The 80s toon Casey was great. He fit right in with the rest of the show.
2k3 Casey we see go from a hot head to somewhat responible person. He grew as a character. Plus he began to realise he couldn't keep going the way he was. The movie Casey is sorta like the 2k3 version. He is older by the forth movie. He has a long term relationship with April and he wants to keep it going. I guess I've never seen him as whipped. |
I think OT Casey was kinda psychopathic. Always was looking for something to crush. It was too aggressive, when he rushed with a baseball bat on some guy for crossing street on a red light.

How bout 'Corporate Raiders from Dimension X'? when Casey applied for a job still wearing the hockey mask and golf clubs?
|
In my opinion, Casey is definetly one of the best TMNT characters. Of course his portrayal in the first movie was superb but it is too bad he got the shaft in the third one and was "girlier" than April in the new CGI movie. Ughh, it pains me.
But forget him being just a character in the TMNT movies, I think he would be great in his OWN movie. I feel like a movie like that could attract people outside of the TMNT fanbase as well. But unfortunately, we will never see that. I love the way he says 'lawbreaker' in the cartoons also. |
OT Casey is a very freaky dude:sick:.
|
I don't think he ever took his hockey mask off in the OT

they did go over board with Casey in the new toon. Does any one think John Stamos from would have made a good Casey Jones? mmm. :D
