Splinter is real?!
Im watching this special on the history channel right now about these people looking for giant rats. Rats that can get up to 4 ft!! This guy took a pic of a dead rat he found once that he believes was at least 2 ft!
And yes the main person in this is looking for em in the sewers of NYC as there have been sightings. :o Biggest rat I've ever seen was the size of a dachshund (about 1 foot). My cats would kill em all the time in Germany. But up to 4ft?! Meep! |
LOL I feel sorry for the guy that's trying to find that rat.. and ends up getting ninja-kicked all up and down from there to Jersey.... LMAO

The Water Rat is another pretty big one...they're a bit bigger than the Gambians tho. But these people in the special were looking for giant Norway rats (which is what Splinter is) |

There're lots of gaint rats exist, indeed, but very few is intelligent as Splinter, that's why he trained such honorable sons, not everynoe.

I caught the tail end of that show (no pun intended) as I was switching the channel to watch their special on the psychology of Batman... Laughed out loud at the fact that they compared Batman to my favourite U.S. president, Teddy Roosevelt.
Anyway, do they actually chase down cryptids on that show? I can't imagine they have a lot of success, heh. I don't remember the news mentioning proof of Wendigo existing. |

Just chalk this up with the infamous giant alligators claim. If this guy actually does find a 4-foot rat, maybe he'll also find a broken canister nearby. |
I have seen some ridiculous city rats but 4 feet? 2 feet maybe...but I hope I never run into one

Ha ha ha ha... as much I love that movie and have seen it almost as much as the TMNT movies, I only just recently obtained a copy myself. I wonder why this topic didn't make me think of the R.O.U.S.? |

And yes I have seen rats named after TMNT characters. Course I had rats named Ninjara, Donnie, and Splinter (may they all RIP) Ninjara was the first rat I ever got...she had a bit of a temper and I was the only one she ever let touch...altho I've got scars on my fingers from when she bit me....she was a rather over protective mother (I uh bred her to Splinter.... ) But one rat show I was judging kittens (that's what baby rats are called) and I guess somebody had a whole TMNT themed litter. Cuz there was a Russian Blue named Leonardo, A fawn (orange colour) named Michelangelo, A lilac (yes..they're purple) named Donatello, and an agouti (kinda reddish in colour) named Raphael. That got a bit of a chuckle out of me. But back to that show. One of the scientists who was going after the rats ended up catching a semi-wild Black Hood....and this other guy was all like "I've never seen a rat like that! It's all black and while like a cow!!" and Im like "WTF? It's a standard eared hood!! You see em in pet stores ya weirdo!"....well the scientist ended up falling in love with the rat and took it home as a pet (poor thing was scared and wanted human companionship even tho it was half wild) :D |
