Breath taking. Probaby the best TMNT art there is. No dialogue at all, but still lot's of action. Nice too see Shredder elite at work. Feeling was very artistic, it is clear that something big will come from this. I think this is last issue that Eastman and Laird have ever drawn togeter. I must say I loved everything in it.

Yeah 50 was great. I still can't believe I got it for less than $5 in mile high comics sale.

It was the last issue that Eastman and Laird did togethor but I believe they also did most of the covers for volume 2 (you can check that yourself when you get there, I've only got Vol. 4 here at uni).

How long do you think it will take for you to read City at War? I loved it that much I read the whole thing in one day.

Probably a week or two. I don't like to read them all at once....

Actually A.C. Farley drew the covers for City At War (except #50). Yeah I can't say enough about City At War. IMHO it's the best comic story arc I've ever read. It has action, drama, tragedy, and by the end you just know that everything in their world has changed forever. Brilliant.

its ABOUT DAMN TIME you started reading those, lol. they are great. you will notice a thing here that happens when peter and lawson get together...the story will play out very slowly. they like to show more art so you get a feel for whtas going on, as opposed to moving the story along faster with more dialogue. they could hvae told city of war in about half the issues. if i was waiting on it coming out bi-monthly, i would have went insane lol. but its still great stuff!

Rat King, I know Farley did the covers for City at War, and the first issue of Volume 2, I was saying that I think Eastman and Laird did the covers for #2-13 of the vol. 2 (the color series).

City At War is without a doubt the best TMNT series there is. Told U ud love it Karpo.

Hmm...Unfortunately, I have never seen "City at War"....cant find it in our local comic shack at home either... :( I've seen some of the art, thought, VERY nice...still kinda confused at Why its called "City at War"...heh, as you cen see, i'm very uneducated in this matter.... :goofygri:

That's ok, I think E+L did all 12 of the remaining Vol. 2 covers as I remember thinking when I read 13 that the cover was probably the last TMNT piece that they did togethor.

Because, my dear, there was literally a WAR in the city. The Japanese Foot were trying to take the Shredder Elite out and it was this huge civil war thing. I only have a few issues, and a lot of gaps, but I still think it's cool.

Yes, I also thought City at War was a nice collaborated effort. It has a few plotlines running in each issue, many of which has very little dialogue. You have to study the panels to figure out what is going on.

This is also the first time Lawson and Laird worked together with pencils and inks. It's interesting how good the art from this series looks, in comparison to the new series.

Rrr...? I believe Jim Lawson was pretty much in charge of the Mirage Color Volume 2 artwise. Kevin Eastman was fading out of the TMNT scene (with work on Heavy Metal) at that point. Prolly would have been Laird helping out if any was needed. He and Lawson were already a team as they started work on their comic called Planet Racers.

It was just the covers, all of the art inside the comic was Jim Lawson. Like I said earlier I don't have the issues here at uni so maybe someone with the issues to hand could check this out for us.

Well I don't think it would be waste of money, you can always read the again. But I just like doing it that way.

I don't think so. Cause once you have all the issues in your collection, and hold on to them a bit, they become a priceless epic! :D

Yeah if you enjoy reading them over and over again like I do, then there's no price too high to pay. In fact as we speak I'm spending a pretty penny to finish my collection. Soon, very soon I'll have them all :evilgrin: :evilgrin: :evilgrin: :evilgrin: hahahahahahahhahahahahahahaahhaha.......um, I mean nevermind :roll:
