The later of OT?? 'Red Sky'?
 

So I have to say I feel a little stupid asking this because I think of myself as pretty TMNT smart, but I have to say I have no idea what the "Red Sky" episodes are. I have watched EVERY OT ep released on DVD. Are they planning on releasing the rest of them? Or where would I go to see all the eps from after season 6 on?

And whats the update on the rest of the 2k3 show? After 2part2 is there more coming do we know?

The "Red Sky" era of Classic TMNT cartoon are the last few Seasons (named that for the change to a reddish color sky). For a glimpse at such, the Vol. 1 DVDs Bonus Episodes are from Season 10 (which is the last Season of the series).

In April, mabey March at the earliest. Not all of them mind you... 8 measly episodes at a time.

I watched those bonus episodes. I sort of wish I had of known what the hell was going on, being as I had not seen the eps before. That said they were not that good in my opinion.

It is interesting though how close the animation style was in those last episodes to the 2k3 series. Very close styles.

we are supposed to be getting season seven sometime in december before the year is out. RedSky is only eight episode each season so I hope we get them all together instead of dragginf it out over several volumes.

Altogether, its Seasons 8, 9 and 10 which equals 24 total episodes.

However, Season 8 still has Shredder/Krang as the main villains, whereas Seasons 9 and 10 had Lord Dregg as the main villain.

We do get to see Shredder/Krang return in a 3-parter during Season 10, which is their final appearance in the series.

Why aren't the DVD's released now? Do they sell bad? I am stuck in DVD Region 2. In Sweden, only circa 20 episodes or something of the 1987 cartoon have been released to video (VHS or DVD) and they are all from the first three seasons. The USA is DVD Region 1, and will soon have the entire 1987 cartoon to DVD (just some episodes missing as of September, like season 7-10, the episodes "Once Upon a Time Machine", "Planet of the Turtleoids"), and the "Vacation in Europe" season, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teenage...)#DVD_releases. By 2010 you will probably have the entire show to DVD.

Yeah, basically the US has the first 6 Seasons of Classic TMNT on DVD (minus those 3 missing episodes, as you note).

With Season 7 to come later this year, and the others likely next year.

Let's take a look on the US release dates:
*Volume 1 - 20 April 2004

*Season 4 - 13 March 2007
*Season 5 - 7 August 2007
*Season 6 - 8 April 2008

It means: First you had to wait more than a year (20 April 2004-26 April 2005), then 8 months (26 April-6 December 2005), and then 4 months (4 April-29 August 2006). But in 2007, you only had two releases.

Yeah. From the chart you made, can see it was because they went to Season Sets (though Vol. 1 and 2 could be considered Season Sets as well, just small ones). So the larger Season Sets were a slowing down area for releasing. While the rest of what's to come has: a large Season next (with likely having the Europe Vacation, and the regular part of Season 7), and 3 small Seasons to follow.

Why no August release?

I brought up a likely reason before. The DVDs up to Season 4 have the episodes set-up like ninjturtles.com's guide lists them; then Seasons 5 and 6 have the episodes like TV.com lists them. Which accounts for the episodes missed-- as ninjturtles.com has them under Season 5, while TV.com has them under Season 4.

In which case they will lekely never by on DVD. Guess I'll have to find the rest I am missing on VHS. I know I have a few of those that were missed on VHS.

Well, there are just 3 episodes that were missed (the rest of the episodes are still to come, even by TV.com's list). "Once Upon a Time Machine" and the 2-Parter "Planet of the Turtloids" are the episodes that ended up skipped.

That's strange. I just checked that link and both the Easter video and Planet of the Turtloids are "available from these sellers" (thus, not actually available from Amazon).
