Mutant Ninja Turtle-Boys Cyber Squad!

Ok, didn't Murph or someone say that these designs weren't going to be used in the series?

Spoiler:
Well, you know now from this ep that Splinter's floating in cyberspace. NOW they gotta jump into the cyberworld and get all his pieces together! Think Zordon and the Power Rangers...

*not too impressed with cyber suits, personally*

Jester 09-20-2008 08:24 PM

Power Rangers was my second thought...after SHSCS.

Greatest Animaniacs bit ever!

Cipher 09-20-2008 08:56 PM

What the heck are those?

Toy placements!

Jester 09-20-2008 08:57 PM

I found them on the Characters section of the 4kids BttS site.

I found them in the show's intro too.

What I meant was, these cyber suits are going to be an integral part of the season, but their true purpose can be nothing other than selling toy variants.

Zachatello00 09-20-2008 09:07 PM

I dunno, I kinda like it.

Ok, wasn't sure if you thought they came off of Playmates site, but you're very right, they are just variant Turtle fodder. But then again how many Turtle variants haven't appeared in the show at one point?

CyberCubed 09-20-2008 09:18 PM

As long as half the season isn't spent in Cyberspace, I'll be fine.

Ninjinister 09-21-2008 12:19 AM

A bit behind the times, Jest'? There has been discussion on their involvement in the series for months now. While it normally would be likely to attribute it to just not seeing those threads, I think it would be harder to not run into them.

That's funny considering the fact that the show has started and Playmates hasn't even shown any product for back to the sewer.

That's funny because your name is CyberCubed.

Or rather to have avoided them...

That doesn't mean they aren't using their share to leave the door open for future figures.

I'm with you on that one. Kinda like Fast Fast Foward.

Part of me wonders if the shows designs changed so that Playmates could lazy toy making by using the old movie sculpts and modifying them.

Can it get any cornier?
No way in hell could Donnie conjure up all this high tech stuff with no money. April sure didn't buy it. Unless Serling came with loads of cash and unlimited credit and it was all shipped to a warehouse.

So far, it's Fast Forward in present day. I'm still giving it a fair chance. But I know, they can't make everybody happy and I'm good with that.

CyberCubed 09-21-2008 02:29 PM

Who said the Turtles built those suits in the real world?

For all we know they might just appear like that in the cyberworld for whatever reason.

Until next weeks episode airs, we'll see if its corny or not.

It's not just these suits, though. The level of technology Donatello can create in the sewers has always been ridiculous in this series. At least in the old toon Don made pizza cookers out of trash cans, instead of hover cars out of space metal.

Didn't somebody point out somewhere that people are complaining about aspects of the new season that have always been in the series?

Seriously, Donny built a hovercraft by the second episode. Nothing so far has been a stretch of the internal logic layed down in the first few seasons.

I don't know as no one besides maybe people like Murph at Mirage have seen prototypes of toys for the show, but only time will tell.

Now that I agree with 100%
