Hello everyone

I'm new around these sewers, but it's great to be here.

I've been a turtle fan my entire life. I think it's probably the one fandom I've stayed consistent in. Unfortunately I never got into TMNT from the comics. I started in the fandom with the old 1987 cartoon. (that's probably where I got my insatiable love for pizza) So the comic TMNT universe is probably the only part that I have no real knowledge on. Which is a shame since from what I've seen the comics look pretty awesome storywise.

Anyways it was probably that lack of knowledge and feeling of nostalgia that kind of set me off of liking the 2003 cartoon for quite a while. Actually to be honest recently I just sat down and marathoned every season of 2k3 putting nostalgia aside, and I have to admit that after watching through every season. I can't even look at the old show the same anymore. I absolutely love the 2003 cartoon now. I guess if that says anything it's that nostalgia isn't a good indicator of whether something's good or not. Heck I even enjoyed the fast forward season.

Also it was the 2003 cartoon that finally made me a Leo fan. I was never really a fan of Leo in the old cartoon as I liked Raph and Mike more. Honestly I don't think there's anyone in the 2003 show that I hate. Although I'd have to say if I had to play favorites Casey Jones would be my favorite 2k3 character. Heck I even like Mikey despite the animosity his character seems to be getting recently. I guess he just doesn't grate on my nerves all that much as he does others.

Well I probably have talked a bit too much. Nice to be here and I can't wait to join in all the fun conversation.

Thanks and yeah I can see that. Though I think I'm quickly learning that on this forum you should keep your opinions to yourself. :(

My japanese given name is: Susumu Mifune (san)

But you can just call me Tony or Leogeddon, why stick my life around Japan when I'm not even Japanese, that's just silly. :3 I enjoy their culture and love their creativity, but I'd rather stick with good ol' Chinese history.

Well then hello to a fellow Tony then since my name is well... Anthony or Tony as well whichever you choose. I agree with you. I enjoy Japanese history, culture, and folklore. I'm also an anime fan but I'm not one of those people that think Japan is the "golden land of anime" or whatever, and honestly I doubt it's a country where I could comfortably live anyways.

Though honestly in my view even if you're not Japanese there's nothing wrong with sticking your life around it. As long as... well you know... your view of Japan is realistic. I mean those anime fans that think Japan is nothing but an anime lover's paradise... heh yeah they shouldn't stick their life around Japan. Though I'm sure it would be a very beautiful place to live... well in the countryside at least.

Ah well though I'm ranting anyways. Hope you enjoyed it anyways. :3
