So whats the bottom line on the future of TMNT BTTS?

I like to know from rumors or from Dan if the series is going to continue. I for one would be deeply hurt and miss the series. For some reason I really like the toughness and story it gives us. I just hope we can get some more life out of it before its time is over.

Im sure almost all of us is wondering whats going on? First 4kids now what?

There's several threads about this. Look 'em up.

If they get rid of Cyber Shredder and restore Splinter... where do they go from there?

Everything was hunky dory at the end of Season 5 and they still managed to continue it.

The powers that be would negotiate for a new direction again, whatever that is. Assuming the show continues.

I think they should put this series out of its misery if you ask me...has been nothing but a huge disappointment since the first ep of FF!

Not everyone feels that way. As I re-read through all the past review threads, you have more people who liked the new episodes than dislike.

It is a step-down from 2k3 I will agree, but the show is still enjoyable.

There the same shmucks who rate any episode highly...and they lost all credibility with the adulation for the abysmal "Superquest"

It's most likely going to end in February. The Goliath Chronicles (the spinoff to Gargoyles) aired their 11th episode on the last day of November in 1996 and they didn't return until Feb. 8 and 15 to air their 12th and 13th final episodes. That'll be pretty much the direction BTTS is going in.

As a screenwriter I can easily say that if a writer cannot find new material, then they do not need to be writing.

Let's use the old toon as an example shall we? None of those episodes were really based - if at all - on the Mirage comics. Yet there was ten seasons, and some 190+ episodes made. It really is simple, and even that show could've gone on, had it held interest.

The thing is, back in those days, myself included, started growing up, driving cars, chasing females, and just forgot TMNT existed. Well some of us at least.

With this show, most of us are grown up, and watch it because we are fans. We've settled down for the most part, and for us that still like to party, we still like to get our TMNT fix, and know it is there.

Point is however, that any writer can come up with new material, hell, I came up with ideas that 4Kids could freely use in coming up with new arcs, without having to use some theme as a basis for each season. It really isn't hard at all, IF the writer is good, and has a good imagination.

I will reiterate my statement however. The only usefulness 4kids has provided was putting TMNT back on the map, airing the show, and toys coming out for me to purchase in support of the brand (got to show the love somehow,) but if they say, "oh this show is doing good in ratings, but we're not happy enough can it," then they can expect people to can any notion of watching CW4kids. I mean what else is there? Some crappy card battling shows like Chaotic and Yu-Gi-Oh? Dinosaur King? My own son loves Dinosaurs but still has no interest in a show like that. TMNT is their trump card, and it still pulls decent ratings. One million viewers is nothing to scoff at, and that doesn't include non-nielsen households such as my own (however Nielsen does send me paper forms to fill out stating what I watch and TMNT is the only cartoon placed in that Saturday morning slot.)

I guess only time will tell, and hopefully we get some more info from the 4Kids rep. Good info that is. If not, it's been a nice run, but if the only cartoon I care about on that station is gone, no reason to stick around watching stuff that doesn't interest me.

Probably "The Shredder Wars".

I am hoping these final two episodes are a prelude to the next season based entirely around that concept.

Hmmm... Good show TMNT4Kids, good show.

So with that little hint, and a damn fine hint at that, as an idea like "The Shredder Wars," seems like something that would be really interesting. I am guessing a couple of things.

In Tempus Fugit when Khan stated he had gotten rid of the TMNT, and the three Shredders were fighting, wasn't even from this season.

If so, that gives us a lot to look forward to actually. So it remains to be seen how Ch'rell somehow makes a comeback, and the Tengu Shredder, and not withing the confines of the last couple of episodes.

This could be something really good. It stays within the confines of BttS, so no more odd crap (one could hope,) instead opting for a theme within the current season.

I like it.

You have brought me hope, and as long as TMNT is on the air, and if anything comes out Ican buy, I will do so to keep this kickass show on the air. That is assuming that hint you dropped is the arc for next season. Can't wait.

Wait a minute, my guess is "The Shredder wars" could possibly be what that DTV is about....given it comes out after the season ends...

A lot of people, such as myself, really hated that episode. So far I've enjoyed most of BTTS... I just have major problems with the concepts being bigger than their execution. I mean, the idea of the Turtles brainwashed to work with the foot really could have opened up something much better than they had. The only 2 episodes I didn't like were Superquest and Shrinking Serling... and that one was mostly screwed up because of the annoying Baby Turtles. But it goes with what I'm talkin about... a displaced Serling screwing up the time continuum could have been prime for a bigger adventure, and a window into something terrible happening...

But instead, they had to have the Obsessive Compulsive toy collector and Baby Turtles running about, doing something that would have fit perfectly, and much better done at that with the OT.

I feel so far we've had a half decent show... only half the episodes were good.

Don't kill the hope of those who would like to see this in season form.

Plus if I remember right, they said that this DTV movie had nothing to do with the current TV show.

LET IT BE ANOTHER SEASON!!!
