Bubble Bomber???

Ok I don't know if this has ever been talked about on here but I had to ask.

When I was a kid I remember the commercial for the 'bubble bomber'. I always hated those toys that would come with some sort of non reusable thing like a juice or special thing once you used you couldn't get more of.
Thus I never paid anymore attention assuming that this was the case and never really asked for one.

BUT Was this the case with this thing? I have always wanted to know what the hell that thing did? Did it actually drop single bubbles or was it a flashy looking kids bubble blower ?

PS I wish i had one.... if you have one for sale let me know.

If I remember correctly it did have to have that special crap that comes with toys that you cant ever find again!. Anyway it droped bubbles out of the bottom and they had some type of fog inside when they popped.

I actually have one of these unopened. The box says it comes with one (pretty small from the looks of it) jar of bubble mixture. You can pretty much refill it though with those bubble bottles you get in dollar stores.

But its the smoke juice that would be hard to find. But they had something the same for model trains so that might work. If I ever got one in a MISB I don't know if I could bring myself to take it out and try it because that would rock!! Even then I would love to find a loose one.

I had one and it never seemed to work right. It shot bubbles maybe twice then just leaked everywhere  Might have just been defective but it was still cool to just have there. But to answer your question I never looked for the refill stuff so I can't really help. I'm gonna go post more worthless replies in other threads now :)

hahaha no that was not worthless! I am happy you told you story of owning one! That is sort what I was looking for anyways. Which is funny because I always thought it wouldn't work all that well.

Did anyone else have this problem?

You know, I vaguely recall it, however, I do recall Playmate's Darkwing Duck gas gun, and how it was probably similar... and how my parents wouldn't let me get it because it was a toy gun...a nonviolent one at that.

Your not alone. I got on for my 4th birthday and it did the same thing. In fact I barely remember playing with it at all, vehicles never lasted long. I got that Rock 'em Sock 'em Mike and shredder game too, that thing literally lasted a day.

I discovered this one and was really lookin' for it ,good news I had just put my hands on one of thoses today in a toy store , I'll take some nice pictures after stickin the stickers ^^ & try the "smokin bubble system" maybe shoot it on a video if dudes want to see how the things works

oldmanwinters 06-16-2010 08:25 PM

Heh, that commercial was hilarious!

Venom 06-16-2010 08:32 PM

AHHHHHHHHH OMG I remember that commercial!!!

Was that Townsend Coleman doing Mike's voice there, too?

Anyway, I owned the bubble bomber AND Darkwing's gas gun. The bomber was cool, but I remember it taking the bubbles like 10 seconds to form, then dangle like a dingleberry before dropping off and smoking up the joint. It was a lot of fun! The gas gun, IIRC, used plain ol' vegetable oil to create smoke.

I still have them both stashed in the closet in my toy chests.

Did you put that Turtle in there or did it come with one? It looks kinda funny, but that might just be the glass thingy. Are you going to try it out?
