Request to 4kids: Release the script to 'Nightmares Recycled'.

:D Why not? We should request it!!! :) Please, 4kids! Just for fun...since the episode was never really completed, let us read the script!

ZariusTwo 01-20-2009 10:59 PM

It definatly won't appeal to Ninja Tribunal critics

Sage Ninja 01-20-2009 11:22 PM

why? Is there to much DBZ action or something?

Cipher 01-21-2009 11:15 AM

Can't say I care too much about it. I didn't care for most of the writing in Season Five, even on non-Tribunal episodes like "Membership Drive." I'm also not crazy about the idea of Hun and Garbageman being twins. It just seems so unnecessary.

I know this was supposed to be Gargageman's closure episode, as "Membership Drive" was to Nano, but really...meh. I guess it'd still be interesting to see.

CyberCubed 01-21-2009 01:56 PM

It would have been interesting, we missed out on a Hun episode because of this before the final attack on Shredder.

They should have toned the episode down to meet Fox's censors at the time instead of abandoning the ep completely.

NiNi 01-21-2009 02:57 PM

It would be neat to actually read up on, actually. I heard I think from a convention though that the episode was canceled because of the fact that 4Kids (I think) thought that people wouldn't want to see the episode because it hardly (if at all) had anything to do with the turtles. I could be wrong though since it was a while back. :tanime:

CyberCubed 01-21-2009 03:02 PM

It was pretty much canned because after "Insane in the Membrane" didn't air Fox paid closer attention to the type of episodes 4kids was making.

Apparently Garbageman and Hun were conjoined twins that were separated illegally and then acid was poured on the Garbageman baby and was abandoned as if it were gutter trash. I imagine this is what also started Garbageman's fascination with garbage, he was left to live in it. It was considered too heavy for "kids cartoons" and was canned.

Would have been interesting, almost reminds me of the Penguin from Batman in terms of being abandoned.

And people p*ss and moan about FF and BTTS being too childish... really... come on. Like they can't put 2 and 2 together.... :tcouch:

1st pass animation was finished on the episode but retakes were never done. This means that there is a watchable copy floating around but there are errors throughout and there is no music or additional line recorded (anything unscripted such as fighting grunts and other rections to better match the animation were never done).

There were a number of questionable things in the episode and I'm not sure exactly how it got as far as it did all things considered, but here we are.

This episode is not considered cannon, as Casey and April get engaged at the end and obviously that doesn't "really" happen until the current season.

I wouldn't rule out the episode becoming available somehow in the future however so stay tuned.

:o If you can get it out there I'll love you forever...in a totally plutonic way, mind you.

Are you calling T4K a dog?

gobo 01-22-2009 03:25 PM

Nah. He's calling him a dwarf-planet. :P

So, with the 'implied' more adult tone of the DTV, are you pushing to get it put on the DVD as a purchase incentive bonus? O_o

so in canon Garbageman and Hun have no connection to one another. Thats sort of sad in a way. I never liked Garbageman but I think I would have liked to have seen that glimce into his past as to why he loves garbage so much. Pretty heavy it's true but still I've always liked back story on characters.

Aneras713 01-23-2009 03:39 AM

I was wondering, couldn't they do to "Nightmares Recycled" like they did for "Insane in the Membrane"?

VaughnMichael 01-23-2009 06:01 AM

I hope these comes out some day, it would just add so much to a character that needs a back story.

Agreed. I love the idea and have since I first read about it.

Buffy 01-23-2009 07:51 AM

It would be nice to see this episode, even if it's not in a finished stage.

Well, if you’re happy, then I’m happy, ‘cause after all…WHA-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-T?

I never get to use that Family Guy quote :P

Anyways, it would be awesome to get this as an extra one day.

Errors? As in animation errors? Aw, man! We really got to see this now. Nothing is funnier than animation errors.

doomiscool 01-24-2009 11:01 AM

It's something I have really been keen to know more about since I found out about it, hopefully one day we will... :ohwell:
